Exeperince of taking exams
I have taken several exams above all during the University period. Surely I can’t forgot my first University exam about Business Economy: I have recorded all the lesson during my 6 month lessons and when I studied to take the final exam I wrote on my notebook all the prefessor’s words exactly.
I spent a strong effort to prepare the exam, also because I was a beginner in the University world so I was quite afraid about it.
Fortunatelly I passed the exam and I took the hightest vote possible (30/30), so after it I fell down for tiredness but I was really very happy and proud of myself.
Becoming more expert about University exams, I have understood tha all that effort isn’t necessary to prepare only one exams, so I do the right experience to be smarter for my following study.
Anyway after the Business Economy exam, I could use my new knowledge, indeed I started a business making a deal with a book-shop very closed my University: I allowed the bookshop to sell the copies of my exams notes to other university students, and I took a fee for each sold copy.
This is really Business Economy!
Finally my advice to take and pass an exam is to study hard (in general to improve your knowledge) but also to be smart trying to get the maximum result whit a reasonable effort.

My only experience about taking
English Exams was some months
ago, when I tried to pass IELTS
exam in order to take a master in
the UK. The score required to
a!end a master is 6.5 overall, but
I only achieved 6.0, not enough.
Anyway it wasn’t a ma!er be-
cause I decided to not take a
master, indeed I have just stud-
ied too much at university, so I
prefer to gain work experience in
English country.
Speaking about the feeling during the exam I can say that I had a lot of problems
with speaking and listening parts instead I felt very prepared for reading and wring
part.
The consequence was that I gained high score only in reading and wring tasks.
What I learned about this experience is that is too difficult to prepare an English
exam in non English countries. The only way to pass an English exam is to deal daily
with spoken language, in fact you can read and train a lot by yourself, however
without interacon with nave speakers it is quite impossible to become fluent
with the language.
Therefore my best advice for people, that want to take an English exam, is to go
directly to an English country to study the language and not waste me learning it
in their country. Perhaps it could be expensive but it is the only way to achieve high
results quickly. Michele

English exams are not so complicated, but you have to prepare for them
seriously. If you have the possibility to prepare for it at school or university,
it will probably be the best way to get good advice to pass the exam. Going
to an English speaking country will also be a good opportunity to learn small
,ps about the language.
Be aware that there are several exams that will not have the same use and
the same level. So think about the use of each exam for your life plans!
Most of English exams are usually split in different parts: Vocabulary and
Grammar, Reading, Wri,ng, Speaking and Listening. Vocabulary and Gram-
mar must be done with past exam papers to help you to iden,fy common
traps and difficul,es. Reading news ar,cles and trying to write your own
one could help you for Reading and Wri,ng parts. Watching TV and going
out to discuss with na,ve speakers will probably be the funniest way to pass
Listening and Speaking parts of the test.
My final advice would be to take the ,me to read the instruc, ons. Students
are oDen misreading witch leads to mistakes. David
Experience of taking exams
In my life I have taken hundreds of ex-ams. Some were easy, some very diffi-cult. For important tests I learned for months and others I did without prepa-ration. Exams are very important for students to test their knowledge and level. And the teachers can give you marks and feedback. In Switzerland we have the marks from one to six. One is the worst and six is the best you can get. I can remember that I got a test with the mark 1.5 because I forgot that there was a test on Monday. But it was no problem for me because in this year we had the special rule to delete the worst test. I don’t hate tests. But I also don’t like them. In the beginning of my school time I was often nervous during the exams. But with the years this habit changed and now I m always very re-laxed. react. And then you can find out the best learning tactic and you will get the best notes that are possible. Of course I have to learn and give my best for every test. It is important to learn right for a test. Every student has to find out which strategy is the best for him.
My bad habit is that I always start
too late with learning. I want to
change this but it’s not as easy as it
sounds. I have to learn over a few
days and not everything in one day.
Between the learning times it’s use-
ful to take breaks after half an hour
of learning. Just five to ten minutes.
To go out of the house into the gar-
den with the fresh air and relax a
little bit. With these simple tricks I
can learn more effective then other-
wise. Friends of mine learn with
loud music. They lay on the bed
with the books on their stomach. I
couldn’t learn like this, impossible. I
have to sit on a comfortable chair
with a nice table or desk. I don’t like
music during the learning period. I
need absolutely silence to concen-
trate. How I told, every child or stu-
dents need their own strategy. It’s
helpful to try different ideas to find
out how you react. And then you
can find out the best learning tactic
and you will get the best notes that
are possible. Manuel
