Gothenburg is definitely the place to be during 8-19 th of May. There are more than 10 happenings ranging from competitions to networking events. The focus is on entrepreneurship, startups and digital development. All events are open to the public and nearly all of them are free of charge. Some events however demand that you register in advance. Swedish Startup Space has chosen to co some of the highlights of the week. 42 Recommend Share GOTHENBURG STARTUP HACK At the heart of the event is the Gothenburg Startup Hack. The hack is a ten hour long session of design and development. into teams of 3-5 have signed up to attend the hackathon. Each team has to develop a prototype of a product. At the end o prototypes will be voted for. The winning teams will then receive the opportunity to pitch their idea for investors at the Got Arena event. The hackathon is guaranteed to be filled with creativity, teamwork and a lot of hard work.

#gbgtechweek is a week full of entrepreneurship and digital development in the Gothenburg. Gothenburg is definitely theplace to be during 8-19th of May. Swedish Startup Space has chosen to compile a mini guide tosome of the highlights of the week.

GOTHENBURG STARTUP HACKAt the heart of the event is the Gothenburg Startup Hack. The hack is a ten hour long session of design and development. 100 people dividedinto teams of 3-5 have signed up to attend the hackathon. Each team has to develop a prototype of a product. At the end of the day the bestprototypes will be voted for. The winning teams will then receive the opportunity to pitch their idea for investors at the Gothenburg StartupArena event. The hackathon is guaranteed to be filled with creativity, teamwork and a lot of hard work.

GOTHENBURG STARTUP ARENAIf you are not attending the hackathon but still want to know what went down at the Startup Hack then you should definitely make your waydown to Gothenburg Startup Arena @ Kajskjul 8. There will be a prize ceremony where the winners of the Startup Hack are announced, inspiringseminars and an awesome after party. The party is open for everyone and will be sure to be crowded with entrepreneurs and investors alike. Ifthat wasn’t enough to tempt you, Startup Grind will be hosting a successful entrepreneur from Gothenburg and there will be insider tips on whatinvestors are looking for when supporting a startup with capital.

CHALMERS INNOVATION DEMO DAYOnwards, Chalmers Innovation is hosting a Chalmers Innovation Demo Day @ Scandic Hotel Rubinen. Chalmers Innovations offers businesscoaching, lectures and networking events that allow teams to develop their ideas. At the Demo Day, teams that have worked for 10 weekstogether will showcase their ideas to the public. Everybody interested in entrepreneurship, investments and business are all welcome to join.Great pitches, cool speakers and an after party is what the Demo Day promises.

TEDXGÖTEBORGSALONFurthermore, TedXGöteborgSalon will be featuring during the #gbgtechweek @ Clarion Hotel Post. There will be streamed TED-talks, followed bydiscussions. Deniel Kostelac, Senior Business Developer at Volvo Cars will be a speaker at the event. He will be talking about the Internet ofThings and in 2020, approximately 50 billion devices will be connected around the world. A limited amount of tickets for 150 SEK are availablefor the event. Join the event for inspiration, lively discussion and to hear about the future of technological innovations.

This was just a selection of the events during the week, it is really great to see that things are happening in Gothenburg.
