KidQuest Gets Crazy About Quilting

The children planned their patterns and wrote a plan to follow.

Patches were made with many different materials.When Hannah designed a patch with geometricshape tiles, she learned about pattern,design andgeometry.
Pegs
QuickTime™ and a decompressor

KindergartenersElijah, Ethan and Hannah practiced making designs and patterns with pegs before they started cutting their fabric.
Rubber Bands Quilters created original quilt patterns with rubber bands.
Paper scraps
Some of the students used colorful paper scraps to plan their patterns. They learned how to combine shape and color to put together patch that tells a story.
Stained Glass Patches
Students explored quilt designs in a different form when they made stained glass patches with wax paper and markers.
Our patches are unique, just like each of us.
