Established in Sydney by Mr Robert Adcock, KingGee has been part of Australian history since 1926. The original KingGee Overall was born out of humble beginnings and was the first in a long line of work garments known for their quality and careful craftsmanship.

KingGee designs clothes that can work hard, but aren’t hard work to maintain. KingGee’s Easycare range utilises fabrics which are tough enough to stand up to a full day of work and still keep you looking the part. We’ve also cut out the work in washing and caring for the garment. Just wash and wear so you have more time on the job and less time ironing.

Our range of workboots have been engineered to provide maximum comfort. After a careful study of the Australian foot anatomy, we have designed KingGee Boots with a wider last, sole and toe cap. In the 1950’s, KingGee set the benchmark for Australian workwear with the launch of the ‘red label’ drill. This new fabric was an Australian first, with 310gsm weight for trousers and 190gsm weight for shirting. This became the Australian Standard for cotton drill workwear. The KingGee Originals offer tradies the basic, tried and tested classic workwear pieces, trusted by generations of workers.

The key to staying comfortable during manual labour in our climate starts with staying cool. KingGee’s Workcool range can keep you cool and reduce the likelihood of dangerous heat stress. With strategically placed vents and fabrics designed around breathability, these garments have been tested by the CSIRO and proven to maximise air flow around the body and encourage cooling by allowing for increased sweat evaporation. Now available in Workcool 2 - cooler, stronger and more comfortable.

This symbol indicates which garments have been designed to comply with AS/NZS 4602.1.2011. These garments give you confidence that you will be visible at work. See page 58 for more information.

These garments have 3M™ Scotchlite™ retroreflective Tape which incorporates patented retroreflection technology. KingGee uses 3M™ Australia Supply tape which means the product is covered by 3M™ Australia’s Total Garment Warranty.

Cotton Ripstop fabric used to make Workcool 2 provides greater air permeability to keep you cool. It also provides increased tear and abrasion resistance to make the garments last longer. Cotton Ripstop makes your workwear cooler, stronger and more comfortable.

Anti-MiCRobiAL nAno-tex™

Advanced airflow technology via a combination of innovative square weave fabric and/or in-built cooling vents that allows air to flow through to the body and move moisture away, keeping the wearer cool and comfortable.

Moisture Management treatment wicks moisture away from the body through the fabric. The fabric also dries quicker, which means the wearer is dry and comfortable all day long.

A finish that is applied to fabric which inhibits the growth of micro-organisms and reduces odour formation caused by bacteria. Odour reduction improves wearer confidence and comfort.

Nano-Tex™ Repels & Releases uses the latest nano-technology to enhance the molecular structure of the fabric fibres. This treatment gives you the confidence of knowing that spilt liquids will roll right off the garment and maintains wearer comfort because it does not alter the fabric’s natural feel and breathability.

The new Smart Casuals range has been developed for workers who need to look presentable but require a more relaxed styling than traditional corporate wear options.

We have used our 80+ years of experience in garment manufacturing to ensure the Smart Casuals range is durable, innovative and has styling that will flatter all wearers.

As part of the launch, we will be transitioning some of our existing KingGee products over to the new Smart Casuals range.

KingGee high visibility workwear meets or exceeds Australian and New Zealand Standards AS/NZS 4602.1:2011.

According to the Australian Standards, materials classified as high visibility for daytime use must be manufactured from a durable fabric of woven or knitted cotton or equivalent man-made fibre that contains a fluorescent pigment or other high visibility dye, or to which a fluorescent plastic coating has been applied. These materials are subjected to the following tests and must meet or exceed specified minimum requirements for:

- Daylight colour and luminance factor - Colour fastness to light - Colour fastness to washing - Colour fastness to perspiration - Colour retention testing

In some cases, for safety reasons, a garment must be made from a natural fibre incapable of retaining a fluorescent colour. In these instances, the material is tested for luminance for non-fluorescent materials. Alternatively, man-made fibres are generally capable of retaining a fluorescent colour and are therefore tested for luminance for fluorescent materials. The fabrics

used in the manufacture of KingGee high visibility workwear are tested and must meet or exceed specified minimum requirements for:

- Chromaticity - luminance for fluorescent materials - luminance for non-fluorescent materials

Things to know about high visibility standards:

• Class D means the garments meets AS/NZS 4602.1:2011 for daytime use only.

• Class N means the garments meets AS/NZS 4602.1:2011 for night time use only.

• Class D/N means the garments meets AS/NZS 4602.1:2011 for day or night time use.

• KingGee uses retroreflective 3M™ Scotchlite™ tape on all taped garments.

• bottoms (pants and shorts) are not part of the high visibility standards and therefore do not comply with AS/NZS 4602.1:2011.

IMPORTANT: LIMITATIONs Of use.Under no circumstances should Class D garments be worn for visibility purposes at night. Any markings, attachments, screen prints or other alterations, accessories or coverings not incorporated into the original product may not only void the garment compliance with the appropriate standard, they may also put the user at risk by reducing the high visibility performance of the garment. The high visibility properties offered by KingGee high visibility may be lessened due to normal wear over time or if the fabric is stretched. KingGee high visibility garments using natural fibres have been tested and comply to Australian Standards AS/NZS 4602.1:2011 in dry conditions. Wet conditions may alter the compliance of these fabrics to the standard and appropriate care should be taken.

/Garments are classified based on the ultraviolet protection factor (UPF). The UV protection of fabric depends on the content, weave, density and colour. A UPF rating is an indication of the length of time a garment will protect the average skin from turning red when subject to maximum intensity UV radiation. For example a garment with a UPF 24 will provide 240 minutes pre/redness times the average skin’s unprotected pre/redness time of 10 minutes. Most garments in this catalogue have a UPF rating provided next to the product descriptions. For garments that do not show a UPF rating please refer to the table on the next page as a guide. UPF fabric tests have been conducted in accordance with Australian and NZ Standards AS/NZ 4399:1996.

The UPF rating is for the fabric and does not address the amount of protection which is afforded by the design of the article. The manipulation involved in garment manufacture such as stretching and sewing may lower the UPF of the material. Articles which have been designed to cover the maximum area of the body are recommended. The protection offered by garments may be lessened: 1. at points where the fabric is in close contact with the skin such as across the shoulders; 2. if the fabric is stretched; 3. if the fabric is wet; and 4. with time, due to the effects of normal wear.
