Dear Parents: Get Ready for a peek at the unique!

At Weird Animals VBS, kids discover that Jesus’ love is one-of-a-kind. Weird Animals is a habitat filled with incredible Bible-learning experiences kids see, hear, touch, and even taste! Sciency-Fun Gizmos, team-building games, cool Bible songs, and tasty treats are just a few of the standout activities that help faith flow into real life. (Since everything is hands-on, kids might get a little messy. Be sure to send them in play clothes and safe shoes.) Plus, we’ll help kids discover how to see evidence of God in everyday life—something we call God Sightings. Get ready to hear that phrase a lot!

Your kids will also participate in a hands-on mission project, through a program called Operation Kid-to-Kid, that will let the kids in our community show God’s love by providing water for school children in India.

Parents, grandparents, and friends are invited to join us in The Tail End Friends section each day at 7:40 pm, because that’s when we’ll be having The Tail End—a daily celebration of Jesus’ love you won’t want to miss.

So mark these dates on your calendar: Mon. July 21-Thurs. July 24. The fun starts at 5:30 pm and will end at 8:00 pm. Call this number 318-222-3684 to register your children for this life-changing adventure! Or use VBS P.R.O. to register online!

I would like to thank each and every one of you that has helped me with my obvious collection plate percep-tion for the children. Donating Time to the Church is a problem to some Members. Who does not have time? Time is defined as indefinite, unlimited duration in which things are considered as happening in the past, present, or future; every moment there has ever been or ever will be; the entire period of existence of the known uni-verse; finite duration, as distin-guished from infinity. How often do you hear someone make the state-ment that they do not have the time? Kind of sounds like a silly statement doesn’t it. We have all the time thru infinity. If we choose to not do some-thing for or with someone, we are really telling them that there is a more important need for how I want to spend my time. Remember, your time is very impor-tant to you and your Church, but every moment there has ever been or ever will be is a long time. God Bless, Bobby D. Shields Stewardship Chairman

“Love” For Hayslips!

We are happy to report that, although we didn’t have much time to get the word out, there was a good turnout for the recent “Get Together” for the Hayslip family. Joel and Heidi shared some heart lifting stories of their mis-sion work in Burkina Faso, West Africa, followed by a time for questions and answers. The “love Offering” given totaled $1,350. Joel and Heidi were “blown away” by such a loving and caring reception. Please pray for this precious family as they continue in Christ’s service
