Theories interpreted by noted architect team Olsen Kundig Sundberg established the foundation for sod covered roofs, sunshade angles and a transparent sky wall 17’ high by 100’ wide.

Every step makes sense as it either leads to or passes by destination spots both indoors and outdoors of this spectacular moderne. Cocooning stations in private sectors give seclusion both within the walls and in al fresco hideaways. Aperitifs in the walled in lanai; coffee on the forward prow.

What an amazing, terrific Finn Hill Meadows community. Each home sits on one of 23 circle sites and has protected zones as their shields from intrusion. Astounding lake view corridor sweeping 60 miles to Mt. Rainier’s snow cone. Views are protected by covenants. If you have a horse there is a barn that you can utilize, included in yearly homeowner dues.

The love and use of beautiful strong handsome sturdy imaginative concrete is a strong plus when viewing this home. It is on its sturdy feet to stay a long, long time. Angular, creative...steel and glass.

In questioning the owners about their home, they revealed their love of the land and how they embrace the principles of their home.

“The home has incredible ‘light’ – even in closets and bathrooms. The Architect has brought natural light including moonbeams into every area of the home. I love hiking the in the hills and meadows around us – and blackberry picking right in front of our house. The solid wall of red during Fall – trees lining our meadow put on a grandstand show. There are special moments when visiting the horses in the stable to feed them apples, and the thought of putting in one of my own! I imagine sheep grazing in our meadow below – love watching the grasses and wildflowers change with the season – and watching for the 6 pt. buck that lives there. My thoughts stray to grandkids, noisy and rambunctious off on their own in the basement – where they can play as loudly as they want.”

The Meadow House from another viewpoint: “Perhaps the most interesting experience of living in the house is the incredible feeling of being part of the landscape. Complete privacy but open gorgeous views of Lake Washington and the meadow year round. You feel as if you are living with nature yet wearing a cape of home comforts. The house has windows that extend 17 feet high and 100 feet across. Yet, perfectly warm in the Winter and cool in the Summer with energy efficiency that would make anyone happy to receive their utility bill.

When we have guests, they have the entire downstairs suite to themselves. They can enjoy

their privacy and come up to the main floor to be social. The community association is very friendly and we have an annual picnic. The common areas and barn are well maintained.

Our home has a children’s suite with easy outdoor access, a separate bathroom, and a mud room for dirty clothes near the garage. Every day is an experience. In the Summer, we see spectacular views of Mt. Rainier and can sit on our patio and enjoy the 4th of July fireworks and the Blue Angel air show. In the Winter, we can see the storms come up from the south. At night, there is magic with the expansive views of the water and city lights.”
