Condolences: It is with sadness that we share with you the loss of Eleanor Lobe Fax, z'l beloved moth- er and mother-in law of our cherished members Gene and Ruth Fax. The funeral will take place on Sun- day, November 4th at 12:30pm at the Stanetsky Chapels on Beacon St. in Brookline. The burial will take place on Monday in Baltimore. Shiva information to follow. May Hashem console the entire Fax family among those that mourn for Zion and Jerusalem. Guest Speaker: Welcome to Dr. Sara Forman, who will be giving a talk after kiddush entitled, “Food for Thought: Understanding Eating Disorders in Our Community.” This talk is part of our Ruderman Syn- agogue Inclusion Project initiative lecture series where we will be hosting different speakers that will talk about topics relating to inclusion. Dr. Forman is the Clinical Chief of the Division of Adolescent/ Young Adult Medicine and Director of Outpatient Eating Disorders Program at Children’s Hosipital. Please see back for more details. Fall Back: Please remember that on Sunday, November 4, clocks are turned backward one hour. Mother Daughter Learning: This Sunday morning, November 4th, Mother&Daughter Learning, co- sponsored by Beth El and the Kollel, will take place for girls grades 1- 8 in the youth room. Please note the change of location. Mothers and daughters will study together age appropriate source mate- rial followed by workshops and discussion for grades 1-4 led by Tzippy Bane and interactive discus- sion for grades 5 - 8 led by Rabbi Gershon Segal. There will be raffles and prizes for all age groups. Beit Midrash and Rabbi Segal’s Shiur: The Beit Midrash program and Rabbi Segal’s weekly Talmud shiur will take place this Tuesday at 8:00pm & 8:30pm respectively. Thursday Morning Class: Rabbi Segal’s Thursday morning class will take place this Thursday at 11:00am in the library. The class will cover various topics on the Parashat Hashavua. Save the Date: next week, we invite you to Friday Night Game Night at Beth El. Bring your family, friends and favorite board game next Friday night, November 9th at 7:30pm. There will be a tish with cholent and kugel and babysitting will be available for children ages 5 and under. Please let us know what games you’re bringing by e-mailing [email protected]. This Shabbat, we strongly encourage people to come to shul coming together with our greatest show of resilience, remembrance, and love.
