DESCRIPTION:Client requested a redesignOf their kitchen. As observingthe plan there is a crucialdisconnection betweenliving/dining areas to therekitchen. The wall surroundingit impede the connectionbetween all three spaces. Theywanted to feel the connectivitybetween all three rooms. Thekitchen had no visual control ofthe living room and diningroom.

THE DESIGN:The redesign of the kitchenallowed for the removal ofthe existing kitchen walls thatwere non-loadbearing. Due tothis, it simplified the partialremoval taking inconsideration the existingreturn grille and existingreceptacles, to be carefullyrepositioned into the newdesign. I provided my clientwith a kitchen island reusingportion of the wall andallowed to open the spacecompletely and allow for thatconnectivity they werelooking for.
