BULLETIN 560-068-02 31.07.09 Issue 28 New books, new products and a new customer incentive – it’s all going on at Kleeneze at the moment! Whether it’s the customer incentive or our brand new product lines that are helping your sales storm, we’re not sure. However, what we do know is that this is our most successful selling front cover product ever! So with the sale success of the new Main Book and Health & Beauty overtaking previous editions, we’re on track for an amazing summer. To make it even more exciting, our top twenty selling products are all new lines available in our brand new catalogues. Heard this week on EzeReach! “Personally presenting catalogues rather than the traditional method of blanket dropping is a fantastic way to get down to a customer base very, very quickly. It’s a shortcut really from dropping catalogues month after month after month, marking down whether they’re looking at your catalogue or not and whether they’re actually buying. Personally presenting catalogues, you can knock at the door, introduce yourself, explain you’re from Kleeneze and ask whether they’d like to see the catalogue. They can either say yes or no. The one thing with personally presenting is that you do have to have a thick skin. You do have to accept the knocks, but the advantages are absolutely amazing. When we blanket drop, we expect a return of a £1 a catalogue if we’re lucky. With our experience, we went to an area we hadn’t been before and personally presented at 133 houses. It does take a little bit of time, but it’s time well spent. We received 59 ‘no’s – so 59 houses we never have to go back to, another advantage over blanket dropping. But we did get 74 ‘yes’s’, which is fantastic. And from that - £402 worth of orders, which averages £5.42 per catalogue. For anyone out there who’s not quite sure, I’d say - do a mix. Go into one street and blanket drop and another to personally present. It does take a bit more time, but we guarantee you the results will blow you away.” Andrew and Fay Roe, Bronze Executive Distributors Main Book (front cover) The Ultimate Onion & Vegetable Chopper £7.50/ 11.50 077852-2C Main Book (page 140) Food Bag Offer £8.50/12.50 078808-2C Health & Beauty (front cover) Moisturising Socks Offer £6.00/ 9.00 071285-2J Main Book (page 64) Set of 4 Mini Brushes £2.50/3.75 076368-2C Health & Beauty (page 24) 2-in-1 Pedicure Tool £5.00/7.50 055549-2J Main Book (page 87) Line Hooks £2.75/4.25 077461-2C Health & Beauty (page 35) Magnetic Knee Strap £6.00/9.00 056022-2J Health & Beauty (page 31) Multi-Coloured 7 Day Pill Boxes £6.00/9.00 064980-2J Main Book (page 8) Multi Chopper £18.00/27.00 077704-2C Main Book (page 29) Deluxe Frying Pan £10.00/15.00 078980-2C Main Book (page 8) Potato Peeling Mitts £6.00/9.00 077712-2C Health & Beauty (page 25) Pink Microfibre Body Wrap £14.00/21.00 055565-2J Main Book (page 17) New Fridge Storage £8.00/12.00 077909-2C Main Book (page 14) New Bread Keeper £10.00/15.00 077879-2C Main Book (page 7) New Cheese Mill £6.00/9.00 077666-2C Main Book (page 116) Battery Organiser £8.00/12.00 073881-2C Main Book (page 109) Deluxe Z Relax Footrest - Floral £25.00/38.00 072150-2C Main Book (page 73) Kleeneze Daily Shower Cleaner £4.00/ 6.00 076821-2C Main Book (page 9) Wonder Cover £2.75/4.25 077828-2C Health & Beauty (page 13) Hair Trimmer £4.00/6.00 079219-2J KLEENEZE SUMMER SALES TOP TWENTY JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER

Last week EWB published your stories and photos from Kleeneze’sActivity Weekend. However, we’re even happier to report that thisweek, even more stories came through. The Activity Weekend wasdefinitely not a one-off! Scores of you continue to come together withyour teams for concentrated bouts of sales and sponsoring.

Thank you for keeping us in the loop and please continue to email usall your feedback, stories and tips for success: [email protected].

Gold Distributors Lesley and Keith Ridden found a great newway to get our new holiday incentive out to the masses:

“We decidedthat a greatway to getKleeneze’sDoorstepDestinationsout to extrapeople, otherthan regularcustomers, was

to contact groups. As Lesley is the Chorus Director of Tyneside LadiesBarbershop Harmony Chorus (quite a title!), she did just that and thechorus were delighted to jump at the opportunity of all taking a breaktogether - destination and date still to be decided! With over 25 girlslooking to take advantage of this incredible opportunity, Lesley will begoing too! With orders still being collected in, it’s fantastic to knowwe will be collecting at least an extra £500 in sales. These girls travelall over the world singing and now they’re going courtesy of aKleeneze incentive.

Keith has taken the idea to the golf club where he plays, and also

contacted other nearby clubs. He’s following this up next week to seeif the lads are going to action like the girls!

It’s a fantastic opportunity to get this brilliant holiday offer out tolarger groups of people in your area. Why not give it a go? The worstthing that happens is nothing – and that’s what you will have if youdon’t do anything! So what have you got to lose?”

Doorstep Destinations has encouraged new customers toplace orders, meaning more sales for you and a scorchingsummer for your businesses. Silver Distributor, Mark Tannerhas already witnessed his sales going up:“I visited my mother’s last Sunday and my eldest brother and theirfamily were down from Yorkshire. Anyway, I was surprised by mymother and my niece both giving me orders for £30 odd each. When Itold them about the holiday offer, my sister-in-law was in like a shotand she gave me an order for £46 - she had never ordered from thecatalogue ever before.”

The Activity Weekend was merely the tip of the iceberg whenit comes to boosting your businesses. Whether it’s a hugeteam gathering, or pockets of activity here and there,Kleeneze Distributors are unstoppable, as demonstrated byBronze Executive Distributor, Sheryl Dutton here!“We travelled up to north Manchester last week; went to anopportunity meeting, stayed over and then spent the next day onactivity with the team in the area. We put out over 1,300 cards andflyers plus many hot pockets and some shop cards.

Then at the weekend I spent Saturday evening with one colleague inBirmingham where we put out over 900 business cards; loads of hotpockets and some posters.”

The activity doesn’t stop there

Last September, hundreds of Distributors across the country gottogether to mark the annual Macmillan Coffee Morning. Staff at HQalso got together to raise money for the deserving cause and it provedto be, not only a resounding success in terms of raising money forcharity, but also a great event for team-building and activity.

This year, Kleeneze and Macmillan are once again working together tobuild on last year’s success. To make it even more fun – we’re issuing achallenge! Our target is to host 300 coffee mornings across the UK.Whether you raise £10 or £200 for the World’s Biggest CoffeeMorning, every penny will make a difference in changing the lives ofpeople affected by cancer.

“Every day 822 people in the UK are told they have cancer,” explainsMacmillan’s Corporate Development Manager, Louise Ewers. “This isnews that not only turns their world upside down but also affects theirfamily and friends.

Macmillan’s ambition is to help every one of these people by providingthem with the medical, emotional, practical and financial support theyneed. That’s why we need your help more than ever.

By simply getting together with friends and family over a cuppa, youwill help us take a big step to reaching our ambition. Every penny youraise will fund more of our vital services and help to develop new waysto change lives.

Looking out of the office window at the grey skies and rain as wewrite EWB, we can only feel one thing about Bronze ExecutiveDistributor, Ivan Darch. Jealousy! As this week it was confirmed thatIvan has done ‘the double’ and qualified for Cyprus AND Cape Town!

Firstly, please can you tell our readers that EWB isn’t callingyou names with our headline…?

No, that’s my nickname in the VisionGroup. We all travelled to Spain and wentto the place where they shoot all thewestern films. I dressed up as a Mexicanand am now known as Dirty Darchez!

So, you’re the first ‘double’ sales planqualifier. How does that feel? It’s fantastic. They are pretty awesomeevents; you don’t want to miss them if youcan help it! I’ve been to Vienna and

Cannes before, so I know what these experiences are like. I was tryingto help someone in the team to qualify for Cyprus and I know that ifthey did it, I would get to qualify too.

Can you tell us a bit about yourself? My story’s a bit different. I’m friends with Richard and Clare Chantlerand when we were on holiday one year, they were telling me about

the business. I didn’t realize there was more to Kleeneze than thecatalogues. They showed me the potential. Then they took me to a bigmeeting where I heard Rob Forster speak. It was hearing him thatsigned, sealed and delivered the whole deal for me.

I didn’t join to earn a second income, because I already owned asuccessful stationery company. However, I was working really longhours and had massive overheads. I saw with Kleeneze that it was amuch better lifestyle and more importantly, there was a residualincome with the whole thing. I had my own business for six years andI’d never been able to increase my income or draw any more moneybecause the cost of running the business was so high.

For the first six months with Kleeneze, I retailed part-time while I soldmy business. After the business was sold, I went full-time. I knew thiswas the business for me.

What are your tips for success?I always put Kleeneze down to work ethic. Most days of the week, I’mup at 5 or 6 in the morning and working until 11pm or midnight!Even when I started, I retailed with all the spare time I had. I earned£871 in my first month with Kleeneze and that was just four hours aday retailing.

You only ever get out what you put in with this business. You justneed to strive and do more than you think you can.

We all know that first impressions count and when it comes to this business, one of the best introductionsis through the Showcase. We’ve lost count of the number of times we’ve heard, “I wasn’t really sure aboutthe business until I went to the Showcase,” and, “I joined after attending my first Showcase at the NIA.”

It is, without question, the best way for anyone to see Kleeneze, so ensure you get your prospect tickets in early for the Xmas Showcase. You canbook straight through the Service Centre from Monday 3 August on 0844 848 5000, giving your prospect’s name, address, phone number andemail address. In the same week, your prospect will receive a confirmation email (you will be copied in) which he/ she should print out and bringto the Showcase. The deadline for registering your prospects is noon on Friday 4 September. Anytime after that, you will have to register them atthe NIA Box Office at the morning of the Showcase, so try and avoid the queues and the hassle by booking them in early.PROSPECTS CAN NOW ALSO BOOK THEIR TICKETS DIRECT ON OUR PROSPECT TICKET LINE - 0800 1181100. FOR PROSPECTS ONLY!

We can only say one thing – keep going! If you find yourself losing motivation at any time, have aquick look at Gold Distributor Donna Clease’s story and photos below. Sunning yourself on aCypriot beach or trying to manipulate your umbrella while dodging puddles in force 10 gales inEngland...(and that’s just July). We know what we’d choose!

“I just wanted to say a massive thank you to Kleeneze for a very sunny, relaxing week in Cyprus!Back in January I attended the New Year Showcase at the NIA and my name was called out byMichael Khatkar as I had won a week with a friend in the beautiful Majestic Gardens Resort inLarnaka! All I had to do to win a number of prizes was put in as many orders of over £150around the Christmas period as possible. It’s true - you have to be in it to win it!

My friend and I have had such a lovely time. We had the pool to ourselves the entire week and, thanks to Kleeneze, we also had free car hire so we took full advantage and drove around theisland. We visited Nissi Beach, the water park in Limassol and managed to get in a bit of retailtherapy! I couldn’t come away without seeing the Le Meridien Limassol Spa & Resort which iswhere all of the qualifiers for the Autumn Destination are going! It looks fantastic! Thank youagain. It’s been the best prize I have ever won and it’s been even better telling people!”

Make sure you do whatever it takes next time the company runs an incentive like this!

It is, of course, the Kleeneze opportunity. And now, more than ever, people are coming into this business with the resolution to make amore secure future for themselves and their families.

A wheely good opportunity!Due to the lack of building contracts because of the recession, BarryPreece was looking for a way of getting a little extra income betweencontracts. The Kleeneze option was perfect as it provided timeflexibility so that he could do any small building jobs that becameavailable and he could still work his Kleeneze business around them.

As a 68 year old he is putting more energy and enthusiasm into thisbusiness than many of the youngsters. In only his first few days he gotwell over £360 of orders.

Due to the area he lives in he has lostvirtually half of his original 200catalogues (it is a retirement area aswell as having many student bedsits),so he was desperate for morecatalogues – hence the push to get the£360 (300BP) first order.

In order to build his catalogue numbersup he has made full use of both theKleeneze catalogue incentives (halfRetail Kit and Full Retail Kit), also hisUpline’s incentive of a full Retail Kit for£1,000 of orders in the first full Period(he couldn’t wait for a full one so hedid it in the first 3 weeks).

How did he manage it? Well he had a secret weapon! He could notwait for the new super duper Catapuller to become available – so heused his initiative – a wheel barrow!

Graduate hits the Kleeneze books“I joined Kleeneze in January 2009 after myhours were drastically cut at my part-time barjob at University. I knew the business workedas my parents, Tim and Tina Pace have been inKleeneze for two and a half years. Within thattime they have reached senior level, and haverecently qualified for this year’s autumndestination, Cyprus.

I initially started the business whilst still atUniversity. I had moved away to Stoke-on-Trent, studying Drama,Performance and Theatre Arts. I decided to travel home and beginwith two drops a month, allowing myself to start building up acustomer base for my return home in May, as I would have completedmy degree.

Before moving back home, I had already signed into the business myfriend and housemate from University who was also a student. After

coming home with me on a number of occasions and helping mewith my rounds, when she saw first hand the money makingopportunities and the versatility of this business, she was in!

Since returning home and, as I am sure hundreds of other graduateshave/are realising, finding no relevant job vacancies in my desired fieldof work, I was faced with the decision; settle for any old job orcontinue building my business? There was no chance I was going togo back to working for someone else in an inappropriate workingenvironment that I had not trained for. So, whilst I am still looking forwork in my specified field, I have the ability to build a business that willprovide for me whenever I need it to, an incredible plan B for anyactor entering such an unstable career.

Since obtaining a team member and increasing my retail, I haveachieved 10% for two consecutive periods. My goals now includesponsoring more people into my team, whilst still increasing retail tofurther myself in this business.”

Kayleigh Pace, Silver Distributor

Dubai-bye boss!“We joined Kleeneze on 26 October 2008. After spending 7 years inthe Dubai rat race we decided to return to the UK with no real planson what we would do but I knew for certain that I did not wantanother 9 to 5 office job that, with commuting time on top wouldkeep me away from spending quality time with my family.

With hindsight coming back at the time we did was probably not thebrightest thing I have done. The country was just heading into arecession and jobs were being lost in the hundreds each week. So,after doing the usual newspaper and job centre stuff for 6 weeks withno promise of finding employment, I replied to an ad on thecommunity centre’s notice board. I liked the idea of being my ownboss and fitting work around the family and not the other way round.

At first we were alittle sceptical thatyou could earn theamounts beingbandied about anddidn’t commitourselves to startwith, only taking200 catalogue packs to try it out part time, as we still needed to findaccommodation and sort out a lot of other issues we had at the time.Knowing what I know now I wish we had jumped in feet first becausetrying to work out earnings for the job centre was a nightmare. Soafter getting nowhere with them we took the decision to do morehours and with the help of our sponsor we eventually went full-timeon 1 January 2009. We earned £837 in our first full period just byfollowing the system.”

We thought you’d like to know that this week the Service Centre moved to their newly customised office in HQ. Although a move within thebuilding may not seem of huge importance, this particular one is a milestone for the company. The move means that all Kleeneze HQ staff arenow in close proximity to each other meaning inter-departmental communications are much more efficient.

A handful of Network leaders who were already on site also joined us this week at HQ to celebrate this hugely important move for the companyand officially open the new Service Centre.

Moving on up

We’re huge fans of recognition in this business and believe that hard work should be rewarded. This is why we’ve arranged for the people whohelp your business run smoothly to be acknowledged accordingly.

Last week, Managing Director Jamie Stewart spoke at a Parcelforce conference saying, “You don’t just deliver parcels – you deliver pay cheques.”This statement sums it all up for the company, who almost a year ago today took over as our new carriers, stating:“We realise that we’re delivering more than parcels. We’re also delivering a commitment to you and your businesses.”

At the same conference, Jamie also launched a new quarterly and annual award to keep the depots striving forcomplete success when it comes to meeting your delivery expectations.

The awards are based on performance data, as well as any feedback that comes through from our Service Centre.

The first quarter (April, May, June) winner went to the Gatwick Depot who delivered 99.67% of parcels on time. Thesecond place winner was Carlisle depot with 99.66% and third was Leeds with 99.63%.

The winners receive an engraved trophy along with £100 of Kleeneze vouchers. At the end of the year, theAnnual Trophy along with £250 of Kleeneze vouchers will be awarded to the depot that has shownconsistent commitment toKleeneze Distributors.
