On principle following mountinginstructions for KLINGER-KGSmaterial have to be taken in account.
1. Selection of the gasketThe suitable type of gasket materialcan be selected according theKLINGER information – first of all the chemical resistance.
2. Flanges should be parallel, metallically clean and dry, thegasket has to be mountedcentrically. Please pay attention to the correctinner- and outer diameter, never thegaskets should tower into thethroughhole!
3. The mounting of the gasketshould be performed without anygrease- or oil-containingseparating media. On no account oil or greasecontaining products may be used, asthey have an negative influence on thesafety of the complete flangeconnection.
4. During installation the boltshave to be tightened in severalsteps, equal and crosswise. The screws should be greased ifpossible.
5. "Re-tighten" is usually notnecessary if a.m. references willbe followed.
6."Multi-use" of a gasket. To use a gasket more than one timecan not be recommended.
