ETHAN MCBRIDE is the manager of the TOWER MILL ENTERTAINMENT CENTRE.

LAURENCE GREY is the Chief Executive Officer of CARMARTHEN INTERNATIONAL.

He is a selfish man whose resolve to find out where he comes from drives him to only take action expecting a reward for

his efforts.

He is a soulless man whose lack of self makes him indifferent to the suffering his

tyranny causes the people of the EUROPEAN UNION.

Chapter One: What is Knight’s Legacy?

The emergence of AVALON - the resting place of ARTHUR PENDRAGON - propels Ethan on a journey that takes him from the world of man to the world of magic to learn where he comes from, and sends Laurence on a journey from the world of magic to the world of man to find out who he is.

KING ARTHUR PENDRAGON’S BURIAL CAMBER

Throughout his journey, Ethan faces the TRIALS OF CHIVALRY, a series of tests that teach that virtue overcomes avarice, while during his quest, Laurence encounters the KNIGHTLY VIRTUES, seven traits that teach that only might applied to a just cause makes right.

Should either fail to embrace their birthright and regain his missing sense of virtue and justice, it would bring about the birth of a DRUID MECCA built atop the ruins of the member states of the EUROPEAN UNION - the modern-day KINGDOMS OF CAMELOT.

ETHAN MCBRIDE

The day Ethan was born, reverend LEONARD ZARIK found him in a basket left on the steps of ST. MARY’S & OLD PARISH CHURCH. In time, MALCOLM and MARINA MCBRIDE adopted him and raised him like he was their own. Ethan has no idea who his birth parents are, or where he comes from.

When he was five years old, an unfamiliar woman kidnapped Ethan and took him out of Hawick. While he was in her care, she gave him a sealed locket emblazoned with the coat of arms of the HOUSE OF THE PENDRAGON, which she claimed held the truth of where he came from. The woman eventually returned him to Hawick, but other than the locket, he has no memory of the ordeal.

Ethan grew up to become a selfish man whose obsession with opening the locket to find out where he comes from drives him to only take action expecting a reward for his efforts. For the last six years, he has managed the TOWER MILL ENTERTAINMENT CENTER in the HEART OF HAWICK. Ethan is an avid cinephile, primarily of films that deal with Arthurian lore.

Five years ago, he met AMELIA LEWIS, a travelogue writer who came to Hawick to write about the HAWICK COMMON-RIDING. After going out on a few of dates, the two bonded over their common interest in Arthurian cinema, and have been dating long-distance ever since.

On the eve of the 500th Common-Riding in June of 2014, Ethan accepts Malcolm’s invitation to be CORNET, the man charged to ride the marches of the community and return the BANNER BLUE unsullied and unstained, so he can propose to Amelia during the COLOUR-BUSSING ceremony.

LAURENCE GREY

Laurence’s private life before he took over as Chief Executive Officer of Carmarthen International six years ago is unavailable to the public. The only available records are his family’s public life and his school and university transcripts.

Laurence is a secretive person who values his privacy. His responsibilities include overseeing the daily operations of Carmarthen International and reporting directly to the the chairwoman, his mother, to execute her initiatives and sustain the smooth operation of the conglomerate.

Laurence has spent several years gathering the shards of the broken glass blade of CALIBURN, the sword in the stone that bestowed rule over all of ENGLAND on ARTHUR‘s shoulders. He is currently looking for the last missing piece of Caliburn’s blade.

Three years ago, he purchased WATERFORD-WEDGWOOD PLC, the former holding entity for a group of companies that specialized in the manufacture of high-quality porcelain, china, and glass to acquire its manufacturing equipment to restore Caliburn’s blade.

When a fog front mysteriously appears off the coast of the CLIFFS OF MOHER in the southwestern edge of the BURREN region in COUNTY CLARE, IRELAND two weeks before midsummer 2014, Laurence immediately dispatches the FIANNA, Carmarthen International’s security force, to investigate.

HAWICK, SCOTLAND

HAWICK is a secluded town in the SCOTTISH BORDERS in the SOUTH EAST OF SCOTLAND. Its residents are called TERIES, after the line Teribus ye teri odin in a traditional song. Many speak the dialect of the BORDER SCOTS known as Teri Talk, which, due to Hawick’s virtual seclusion, retains elements of Old English, such as grammar, a particular pronunciation, and vocabulary.

The TOWER MILL is an entertainment centre where people come to reinforce their community ties.

ST. MARY'S & OLD PARISH CHURCH is a post-Reformation church prominently sited on a high mound.It is where the reverend LEONARD ZARIK found ETHAN MCBRIDE in a basket when he was a newborn.

ST. MARY’S & OLD PARISH CHURCH

Every year, Hawick hosts the COMMON-RIDING, a border event that combines the custom of riding the boundaries of the town’s common land with the celebration of a victory of local youths over an English raiding party at HORNSHOLE in 1514.

When the English army approach Hawick, the town’s youths met and fought them with all their hearts, and, despite the English army’s strength and larger numbers, they were victorious, and took their flag as their trophy.

THE COLOR BUSSING is one of the most striking and colorful of all the rituals. THE CORNET'S LASS ties ribbons of blue and gold to the head of the flagstaff, a custom from ancient times when women bedecked their loved ones as a sign of affection and good luck before they went off to war.

WATERFORD CITY, IRELAND

WATERFORD CITY is the seventh main city in IRELAND, fifth main in the REPUBLIC OF IRELAND, largest in the SOUTH EAST of the country, and the oldest in the country. VIKING raiders led by OTTIR IARLA first established Waterford City in 914 as a second settlement after the native Irish drove them out in 902. Under the rule of RAGNALL UA ÍMAIR and the UÍ Ímair dynasty, it became Ireland’s first city. VIKING TRIANGLE is one of Waterford City’s oldest cultural quarters.

The Cliffs of MoherTHE CLIFFS OF MOHER are one of Ireland's top attractions. They are 214m high at the highest point, and range for 8 kilometers over the ATLANTIC OCEAN on the western seaboard of COUNTY CLARE.

CARMARTHEN INTERNATIONAL

CARMARTHEN INTERNATIONAL is a multinational research and development corporation named after the site of Merlin’s birth. AILEEN GREY founded Carmarthen International to end the hardships of the member states of what eventually became the European Union, such as poverty, violence, war, greed, and lack of faith in elected leaders.

Carmarthen International has offices in the 100 best countries to conduct business in, such as Ireland, Hong Kong, Norway, New Zealand, Finland, Canada, Singapore, Denmark, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.

The Carmarthen International worldwide headquarters (an iconic 119-meter 32-storey building) opened in 2009 in the VIKING TRIANGLE mall area of downtown WATERFORD CITY, IRELAND. Laurence’s lavish penthouse office sits three meters atop the roof of the Carmarthen International building.

AILEEN GREY – THE CRONE

AILEEN GREY is the founder and inactive chairwoman of CARMARTHEN INTERNATIONAL. Aileen was the first woman elected leader of the community of the ISLE OF IONA, an isle in the inner-hebrides of SCOTLAND that once served as the main seat of learning of the CELTIC DRUID MAGI in SCOTLAND, the principal capital seat of the DRUIDS. As her health has deteriorated in recent years, she has faded from the public eye and entrusted the operations of her corporation to her son, LAURENCE GREY.

ROBERT TREVOR – THE JEWISH LAWYER

ROBERT TREVOR is the Chief Operations Officer of CARMARTHEN INTERNATIONAL. He is a charismatic, persuasive, and well-versed politician responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of Carmarthen International’s worldwide operations in support of its over 900,000 employees.

AMELIA LEWIS – THE GUIDE

AMELIA LEWIS is a travel writer who pens KINGDOMS OF EUROPE, a blog that tracks her travels across the EUROPEAN UNION. Five years ago, she met ETHAN when she visited HAWICK to write about the COMMON-RIDDING for her blog. She now visits Hawick every year to see Ethan.

SATKIRAN KAUR – THE VIRAGO

SATKIRAN KAUR is a famous SAINI KHALSA SIKH glassmith whose services LAURENCE secures to restore Caliburn’s broken glass blade. As a Sikh, she carries with her a KIRPAN, a ceremonial dagger that denotes the power of truth to cut through untruth.

CHRISTOPHER ELEAZAR – THE REDEEMER

CHRISTOPHER ELEAZAR is CARMARTHEN INTERNATIONAL’S lead archaeologist. He is an adventurer, a linguist, erudite scholar, and devout JEWISH man of YIDDISH ancestry who believes that any man can earn forgiveness for their actions through atonement.

GABRIELLE OTT – THE PALADIN

GABRIELLE OTT is the secretive and mistrusting Chief Security officer of CARMARTHEN INTERNATIONAL. She leads the FIANNA, freelancers that operate as Carmarthen International’s security force.

DENISE COYLE is Ethan’s overprotective and nosy best friend. She is the barista at the BEANSCENE CAFÉ BAR in the TOWER MILL ENTERTAINMENT centre in the HEART OF HAWICK. She is a devout Christian who wants Ethan to find happiness so she can live vicariously through him.

MANUS RAGNALL is a retired professor of archeology from the NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF IRELAND, where he was Christopher Eleazar’s faculty adviser. The grief over the disappearance of his daughter and his grandson 35 years ago has consumed his life.

LEONARD ZARIK – THE FAGIN

LEONARD ZARIK is the PROTESTANT CATHOLIC PRESBYTER of ST. MARY’S & OLD PARISH church in HAWICK, SCOTLAND who found ETHAN in a basket left on the steps of the church when he was a newborn. Leonard is an alcoholic, which, in recent years, has driven away his parishioners. Accordingly, attendance to the church has decreased, which has left St. Mary’s in disarray.

AVALON

AVALON, the island of apples, is the fabled resting place of ARTHUR PENDRAGON. His burial chamber lies beneath the MINISTER OF THE THREE SISTERS, behind a wooden door only CALIBURN can open.

Known as the fortunate isle, Avalon can produce all things on its own; its fields have no need of a farmer’s plow, and all cultivation is lacking, except for what nature provides. Grain, grapes, and apple trees grow in its woods from the close-clipped grass, while the ground produces everything instead of merely grass. Here, people can live for over 100 years.

The world of magic is a place Laurence has studied all his life and Ethan embarks on his quest.

BROCÉLIANDE FOREST

BROCÉLIANDE FOREST is a place shrouded in mystery known for its ties to ARTHURIAN lore that hides the darkest of locations and harbors unearthly creatures able to pierce the veil between worlds. It is a shadowy realm of mists, legends, and various exploits as mystifying as they are wonderful. It is where MORGANA LE FEY disciplined her lovers, the KNIGHTS OF THE ROUND TABLE searched for the HOLY GRAIL, THE LADY OF THE LAKE imprisoned MERLIN, and the DRUIDS performed their rituals.

MERLIN AMBROSIUS is a powerful wizard and the last of the DRUID. He is the son of a mortal woman and an incubus, the non-human wellspring from who he inherits his supernatural powers. Using magic, guile, and intrigue he engineered the birth of ARTHUR PENDRAGON. Merlin served as Arthur’s advisor until NIMUE imprisoned him in a rock in the most remote depths of BROCÉLIANDE FOREST.

MERLIN – THE MENTOR

SERILDA REGNER is an assassin in service to an ancient DRUID order. She is a WIND WITCH who leads the phantasmal group of huntsmen known as the WILD HUNT, who ride across the skies on black horses alongside the horrible black spectral hounds of the CŴN ANNWN in search of their prey.

NIMUE – THE LADY OF THE LAKE

NIMUE is the keeper of the ARTHURIAN codes of chivalry. Water in all its watercourses and forms of precipitation is an extension of her that exists simultaneously in the past, present, and future, bearing silent witness to the events that shape the course of history.

MORGANA LE FEY – THE HEALER

MORGANA LE FEY is ARTHUR PENDRAGON’S half-sister through IGRAINE OF LYONESSE. She and her sisters - MORGAUSE and ELAINE - were the enchantresses that took their fatally-wounded half-brother to AVALON following the battle of CAMLANN to nurse him back to health. On AVALON, she protects and educates the MORGEN OF AVALON, the keepers of the KNIGHTLY VIRTUES.

TITANIA is the tyrannical QUEEN OF THE FAERIES. Like all fairies, she ages backwards, which makes her yesterdays our tomorrows and her tomorrows our yesterdays. Every seven years, she must pay a tithe to SHE’OL, a hellish level of OLAM HABA, a metaphysical and timeless afterlife, in the form of mortals the KORRIGAN procure as babies that willingly sacrifice themselves when they grow up.

The KORRIGAN are lovely lustful golden-haired siren-like female faeries who were once Druidesses that opposed CHRISTIANITY when apostles came to convert BRITTANY. They dwell in the springs and rivers of BROCÉLIANDE FOREST. The Korrigan are very gorgeous when seen at dusk or at night, but, in daylight, their eyes turn red, their hair turns white, and their skin wrinkles.

CALIBURN – THE SWORD OF VIRTUE

Knight’s Legacy: Mythology

CALIBURN is the fabled sword in the stone that bestowed rule over England on Arthur’s shoulders when he was a mere wart. The sword proves Arthur’s birthright as Uther’s proper heir. When he attacked king PELLINORE with it, he shattered Caliburn into a hundred pieces for violating Merlin’s tenet that might does not make right.

EXCALIBUR – THE SWORD OF CHIVALRY

EXCALIBUR is the mythic sword of king ARTHUR PENDRAGON. Its blade can slice through iron as well as wood, which makes it the finest sword that has ever existed. Nimue forged Excalibur and gave it to Arthur shortly after he began his reign. Following his defeat at the BATTLE OF CAMLANN, Arthur ordered BEDIVERE to throw the sword into L'ÉTANG DE COMPER to return it to her.

Caliburn symbolizes that might applies to a just cause makes right, while Excalibur is symbolizesthat virtue overcomes avarice. Together, they represent the founding principles of Camelot.

THE KNIGHTLY VIRTUES are the ultimate defining meaning of the CODES OF CHIVALRY.

THE KNIGHTLY VIRTUES

Courage – More than bravado, a knight must have the courage of heart necessary to undertake tasks that are difficult, tedious, or unglamorous, and graciously accept the sacrifices involved.

Justice – A knight holds themselves to the highest standard of behavior, and knows that fudging on the little rules weakens the fabric of society for everyone.

Mercy – Words and attitudes can be painful weapons; which is why a knight exercises mercy in his dealings with others, creating a sense of peace and community rather than hostility.

Faith – Faith means trust and integrity, thus a knight always keeps their word Nobility – Nobility conveys the importance of upholding one’s beliefs at all times.

Hope – More than just a safety net in times of tragedy, hope is present everyday in a knight’s outlook and demeanor as a shining armor that shields them and inspires people all around.

Self-Sacrifice – Sharing what is valuable in life means not just giving away material goods, but also time, attention, wisdom, and energy - the very things that create a strong community.

KNIGHT’S LEGACY is the flagship title of the MAJESTIC UNIVERSE, a shared science fiction/fantasy universe that tells a vastly-ambitious, yet consistent epic saga told across seven interconnectedseries that tell unique stories with a beginning, middle, and an end.

Our approach begins with introducing realism into what are two inherently unrealistic genres, which makes the MAJESTIC UNIVERSE unlike any other shared universe.

The MAJESTIC UNIVERSE is a verisimilar place with a rich history that forms a complex tapestry inhabited by average men and women that find themselves in unusual situations that help them to find the heroes within.

Our universe is a place of heroic knights and oppressive sorcerers, frail mortality and painful afterlives, captivating tyranny and illuminating freedom, rampant science and fatal phenomena, blood-thirsty revenge and heart-wrenching redemption, vengeful Gods and forgiving mortals, and peace-seeking warriors and warmongering fanatics.

The MAJESTIC UNIVERSE has been a passion project ever since I conceived the original concept in 1998. Since then, I've worked tirelessly in developing the characters, arc, and story until I felt ready to pursue its publication.

MICHAEL is the president and founder of HEROIC TENDENCIES STUDIOS, and the Creative Director of the MAJESTIC UNIVERSE. His work as a writer has appeared in FASTER THAN LIGHT from ORANG UTAN COMICS, Sky Watcher, The Leaf, and Red Leaf Comics Presents from RED LEAF COMICS. Michael is also a creative consultant for VALIANT ENTERTAINMENT. He provides creative services for concepts like ARCHER & ARMSTRONG, ETERNAL WARRIOR, X-O MANOWAR, HARBINGER, NINJAK, and SHADOWMAN.

J. ANDREY PORTILLA – PENCILLER

ANDREY is a Colombian comic book artist. His first work appeared in DELIRIUM, a comic published in his home country. In an effort to project the national narrative graphics, he has worked as an illustrator designing characters and developing illustrated children’s material for COLOMBIAN publishers. His work also includes the DRAGON TAMERS comic book from BRONCO INK PUBLISHING.

ANDREY was one of 12 Colombian authors displayed at the 2012 FUMETTO INTERNATIONAL COMIX in LUCERNE, SWITZERLAND with his SUPINAUTA underground comic book strip. He is currently working for MTG, a publisher in SPAIN, on a soon-to-be-released comic book about demons and vampires.His contact email is [email protected]

KEVIN LEVERETT - INKER

KEVIN is an inker/illustrator from DALLAS. He has been working in the comic field for about three years.
