My name is Sian I am part of the Shoreditch Sisters. The WI have been around since the 1915 and has become a hub where women can come and discuss their ideas, feelings and life while knitting or crafting.Becoming a new domesticated goddess

•Over the course of the next few years there will be a rise in young people, especially women engaging in the D.I.Y culture and its community spirit.
•D.I.Y and handmade culture books have recently been published due to the intense rise of the awareness of crafts and creative hobbies, books such as Green is the new black (Blanchard 2008), D.I.Y Design it yourself (Lupton 2008) and Handmade Nation (Levine 2008).
