FOREWORDS

As we advance in life in the hard way of the pursuit of wisdom, we learn a simple principle, happiness is on enjoying the journey, not attaining wisdom. Rather, on the other hand, fortunately, is impossible. Knowledge is infinite and expandable. We start now a long and infinite path to unknow. something, no doubt, passionate, exciting by itself.

The Knowdle Foundation and Research Institute, is the first infinite step but the natural conclusion for my ideas, my career and my world vision.

FOREWORDS

  The Natural Computing Group of Madrid is involved in natural computing research activities, Artificial Neural Networks, DNA Computing and Cellular Computing through Membrane Computing. The group has developed software simulation of natural processes in DNA and Membrane computing. It has also developed new models of Artificial Neural Networks with its corresponding learning algorithms.

  The research interest/expertise of the group include: new model of Artificial Neural Networks and their application, chaos, theoretical models of DNA Computing and Membrane Computing, in particular software tools developments of unconventional computing models, formal characterizations of such models and the design of dedicated hardware for membrane computing.

CSRP   The most frequently selected option, consortium sponsorship research program connects a

company with a group of other sponsors and KNOWDLE Media Lab faculty and research staff focused on a common agenda. Sponsors join one of three Media Lab consortia— . Although a consortium sponsor joins only one consortium, all consortium-level sponsors have access to the breadth of all research conducted at the Lab. In addition, companies at this level of sponsorship can take advantage of our graduate fellows program.

  BENEFITS

  Membership in one consortium and one research program;   Access to all projects of the research conducted at the Lab;   Lab-wide visiting privileges;   Customized company day at the Lab with a strategic brainstorming session;

  Invitation to sponsor week (twice a year);   Invitation to Lab-wide lectures and special events;   Participation in steering committee to oversee the Media Lab relationship;   Access to all KNOWDLE Media Internal Lab publications and password-protected

sponsor Web site.

Membership: 50,000€ CRSP or 10,000€ CRPP a year for a minimum of three years.

CRS   Consortium Research Sponsorship (CRS) enables a sponsor to form a closer relationship with

specific areas of research by placing an employee-in-residence in the Lab. The employee is provided with space in the Lab and the opportunity to work closely with principal investigators and graduate students on specific projects.

  With an employee in residence at the Lab, a company can take a deep dive into the development of a research project under the guidance and in collaboration with a Lab researcher.

  Employees in residence become a part of the fabric of the Lab, working closely with faculty, senior research staff, and graduate students with a broad range of technical skills and research knowledge.

  BENEFITS   Membership in one consortium (access to all Research Program of the Consortium choosen);   Company employee-in-residence;

  Lab-wide visiting privileges;   Customized company day at the Lab with a strategic brainstorming session;   Invitation to sponsor week (twice a year);

  Invitation to Lab-wide lectures and special events;   Access to all KNOWDLE Media Lab publications and password-protected sponsor Website; and   Optional participation in the Lab's graduate fellows program.

SBOKRC, leads innovation, builds interdisciplinary and international networks, and focuses research on important public issues. The SBOKRC is guided by the belief that justice, prosperity, and democracy all require better understanding of complex social, cultural, economic, and political processes. We work with practitioners, policymakers, and academic researchers in all the social sciences, related professions, and the humanities and natural sciences. With partners around the world, we mobilize existing knowledge for new problems, link research to practice and policy, strengthen individual and institutional capacities for learning, and enhance public access to information. We bring necessary knowledge to public action in our research lines.
