Enjoy Healthy Living with Dr. Bob Each year Dr. Bob Overholt is a highly anticipated speaker at The Healthy Living Expo. A staple in the East Tennessee medical community, Dr. Bob founded the Allergy, Asthma and Sinus Center in 1970. The Allergy, Asthma & Sinus Center is staffed by an experienced and caring team of multidisciplinary, board-certified specialists. All of their providers are dedicated to providing patients with expert and friendly care. Learn CPR at the Expo Almost 80% of sudden cardiac arrests happen in the home. 92% of victims don’t survive, often because people around them don’t take action and begin CPR. You can help change this statistic by learning the simple skills of CPR. The CPR Choice Family & Friends CPR Course teaches lifesaving skills of adult Hands-Only™ CPR, child CPR with breaths, adult and child AED use, infant CPR and relief of choking in an adult, child or infant. Skills are taught in a dynamic group environment by using the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which provides students with the most hands-on CPR practice time possible. This course is for people who want to learn CPR but do not need a course certification card for their job - ideal for parents, grandparents, babysitters and others interested in learning how to save a life. The Family & Friends class costs $10 per person with proceeds benefitting the American Heart Association. Classes will be offered both Friday and Saturday at 2:00 PM at The Healthy Living Expo. Attendees will not receive a CPR certification but will receive a certificate of participation. Pre-registration is highly recommended due to limited space.
