• Since long, also the optimization of the energy consumption in the areaof Heating, Ventilation and Air-conditioning is an application domain coveredby KNX, including intelligent shading, night cooling, exchange of data withrenewables like solar, control of split units, ….

• Also the management of electrical energy (smart metering), e.g. by meansof intelligent energy consumption meters, peak shaving, actuators with currentmeasurement, … is covered by KNX
