Kosher Meals on Wheels Is a service of Syracuse Jewish Family Service and Onondaga County Department of Aging and Youth, with support from the Jewish Federation of CNY.
When – Deliveries are made each week between 11 am and 1 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. We can supply anywhere up to seven days’ worth of freshly made meals per week in multiple deliveries.
Cost – Kosher Meals on Wheels is a service for those in need: no one is turned away for inability to pay. Kosher Meals on Wheels staff assist those who qualify to sign up for a county subsidy that covers the minimum required portion of the suggested $8 charge per delivery set (2 meals).

Are you 60 years old or older? Are you unable to shop on a permanent or temporary basis, or prepare meals for yourself because of illness, injury, disability, or other limitations? Are you recuperating at home, or can’t shop because of inclement weather, or just need some help to tide you over a difficult period?
Subsidized and unsubsidized Kosher Meals on Wheels delivery sets include 2 meals providing 2/3 of the daily nutritional needs of an older adult: Lunch (served hot) and supper (served cold, reheatable) with juice, milk, and dessert. Medical diets are available as ordered by your physician.
The Kosher Meals on Wheels Coordinator performs regular needs assessments in your home and will provide information and link you to get other benefits, to the Syracuse Jewish Family Service continuum of care management, and to the County social services safety net.
