It is a very good project for our village

children and adolescent youths normally

have to travel a lot to reach the nearest

computer center located at Meignanpuram.

These computer centers charge too much –

ie. payment for use of facilities. Moreover,

it is riskier to send girls over and above 10

years of age to such distant places. This

library is very close to our children and

they can spend quality of time and it is

safer for them as well. Since the digital

library has internet facility, it is useful for

everyone in our village to get connected to

world information and updates. I feel it is a

blessing for our children.

It is very nice to have digital library in our

village. My daughter is also leaning

computer there. Children like to go there for

acquiring learning and other skills. Since

children know how to operate cell phones,

they learn very easily to operate the

computer too. They develop their knowledge

there. They are very much interested and

involved.

I attend the computer class daily

minimum an hour after my school

hours. During weekends and

holiday, I spend most of the time in

the library. It is very useful to

supplement my education. I use self

learning CDs available in the

library to learn my subjects. I also

learn drawing and painting.

Facilities are well maintained and

the Centre instructor helping a lot

with practical tips to learn.

Many children and adults too come to the digital

library daily. Children learn spoken English, use

available CDs to improve their vocabulary, learn

their subjects and they learn while they play few

games. Adults come here to prepare for TNPSC

(Tamilnadu Public Service Commission) exams for

career and employment and also prepare for other

entrance exams. Now we have a computer with

internet facility. Usually this facility is available in

cities and town only. Now, youth and children come

and learn to operate the computer and they become

computer literates. It is useful and it helps to develop

our village too.
