It is so important to ensure there is clear communication between home and school and that parents, as much as teachers, have the opportunity to air their concerns and/or celebrate the successes that the children experience at school on a day to day basis. There is such a positive culture at this school and all feedback that I have received in regards to the interviews has been very positive. I would like to take this opportunity to thankyou for supporting our teachers in their very important work to help your children reach their potential both academically and socially. TERM THREE STAFFING CHANGES: After a rigorous application process we have appointed Ms Kerri Forster as the new teacher to replace Keira Haigh/Vukovic during her Maternity Leave. Kerri will take up the position on the first day of Term Three. However, Keira is not due to take her leave until Week Three, ensuring that Kerri will have a very thorough handover. Kerri has worked as a CRT at our school throughout the year and the children already have a relationship with her. I have no doubt she will settle in very smoothly to our team. Taking Steve Laforets position are Sarah Deveney and Rod Wyatt. Rod will be taking the Prep students one day a week, while Sarah will take the rest of the school for Physical Education two days a week. As this is Steves last day, I would like to wish him a very fond farewell and thank him once again for the terrific work that he has done as the Specialist PE teacher for the past three years. FAREWELL MR LAFFS! WE WILL MISS YOU! END OF TERM ARRANGEMENTS: As usual we will have our final school assembly at 2:10 tomorrow afternoon and the children will be dismissed at 2:30. I hope you all have a lovely break from school – rest up and enjoy some much needed time with your family and friends. I will see you back at school for day one in Term 3 on 17 th July! Kind Regards, Mrs Fran Van Lambaart 40 kph In Spencer Street At All Times
