Changing regulatory landscape

Notified in 2014, the Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), that have been converged with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) (for companies with net worth more than INR500 crore along with all their holding companies, subsidiaries, joint ventures and associates), Income Computation and Disclosure Standards (ICDS), and upcoming Goods and Services Tax (GST), mark a paradigm shift in the regulatory and reporting landscape for companies in India, as shown below

This is not merely an accounting or reporting change, but has significant entity-wide implications including, but not limited to:

• Business arrangements, including acquistion, contracting, strategic ventures, etc.

• Financing arrangements and structures

• Systems and processes, including IT systems

• Impact on financial covenants, fund raising, key ratios, net worth, capital requirements and many more

• Stakeholder communications
