Hey Key Clubbers! Only a few more weeks till
school :o. I don’t think I’m ready… on the bright side it means
that we can look forward to our regular meetings again!
Make sure you are telling all your non key-club friends to
join next year! If you know any incoming Freshman make
sure you tell them about them about how awesome Key
Club is as well. There has been a bit of a lull this summer in
both service opportunities and volunteers, so make sure you
are checking our media pages for any upcoming events. Re-
member that hours you collect now count for DCON 2016.
I hope you guys are having a great summer! Enjoy
some photos from the Seattle Rally (courtesy of Andy Ly).

A rally or a mini DCON? Check out what Key Clubbers had to

Key Clubbers came from all over to partake in this spectacular event at Northwood
Middle School! Those who came enjoyed an intense day full of workshops, a talent show,
and a keynote speaker. Key Clubbers got to enjoy forums such as “PNW Family Feud” and
“How to Get A Date.” But who needs to see me rambling on about it, take a look at what
these attendees had to say:
“ Seattle Rally was a fun mini DCON. Unfortunately D32 didn't take home the spirit
stick again. But special thanks to the KR Key Clubbers that showed up ad made it a great
time!” - Raymond Nguyen
“Let's see...It was basically like DCON but you know "mini" aha. So literally right when
you walk in you see everyone in like either divisional gear or like 60s clothing. You check-in,
go into the commons and find some friends, make some friends and break the ice with
some ice breakers! ☺After that, we went into the gym and had a quick intro, and there
were three sessions filled with so many options of different workshops, ughhhhh the strug-
gle was real trying to just pick one workshop for each session...BUT we had to do it and I
went to the eliminate project for the first session, life hacks for the second and how to get a
date for the last session (IT WAS FOR SOME GIGGLES OK LOL). Of course we had lunch, Lit-
tle Cesar's, fruit snacks, and some water nomnomnom... The last and final thing we all did
was closing session filled with spirit cheers, and loud people, which was great! we had
great talents from Vincent Nguyen's magic show, and some great violin skills from the one
and only B-Rag!! There was so much more that happened, but if I were to say it all I'd take
like 5 pages explaining.. Ahhhh it was definitely a loss if you didn't attend. BUT IT'S OKAYYY
BECAUSE THERE'S ALWAYS DCON 2016 AND SEATTLE, TACOMA AND ALL THE OTHER
RALLIES NEXT YEAR!! ❤️ ❤️ ” -Emily Tan
“Peace, Love, & Service! That was what Seattle Rally was all about, and it brought in
hundreds of Key Clubbers all over the Seattle area. This year, the rally promoted member-
ship growth by encouraging not just current Key Clubbers to come, but people not yet in
Key Club as well. Not only did people get training to learn more about servant leadership,
they had some fun by mingling, engaging in spirit battles, and even watching a talent
show. I thought we had a good balance of informational forums, along with entertaining
ones like DIY Mixtape or How to Get a Summer Body. I enjoyed leading my part of the fo-
rums (Key Club 101 and How to Get a Date, except if you were serious about getting a
date then it wasn’t the most helpful…), but most of all, I loved getting to see the spirit of cur-
rent and future Key Clubbers!” -Tiffany Wong

the upcoming Seattle Rally! Learning chants and
putting their creative skills to the test these Key
Clubbers completed several workshops and
challenges, and of course, had a lot of fun!
