Since I founded KUGE Invest as a sole proprietorship in 1988, the challenges involved with supplying a fast growing world population with safe, affordable and sustainably produced food have evolved tremendously, along with an ever increasing focus on the environment and animal welfare.
Since then, the KUGE Group has grown into an internationally recognised expert in specialty additives for the Feed & Food Industry, with sales in over 50 countries worldwide.
This brochure intends to give you, our valued customers and business partners, a general overview of our group, our international activities and the portfolio of high quality speciality products developed by our R&D teams.
KUGE Invest is a Belgian family-owned holding company with subsidiaries in several countries, including two production sites in the Benelux that allow us to be flexible while maintaining high quality standards and ensuring ample production capacity.

Arabinoxylans are by far the most important anti nutritional part of the NSP fraction in feed. The degree of pigmentation of egg yolk and broiler skin desired by the consumer can only be achieved by supplementing yellow and/or red colorants.
Synthetic pigments will do the job, e.g. apo-ester, but the potential carcinogenic effects are a matter of concern. There is also the natural way. A technological treatment (extraction, stabilisation, ...) turns these natural products into easy-to handle, stable and reliable products with a constant coloring activity.

Colonut is a range of natural pigments used in poultry feeds for broiler skin and egg yolk pigmentation. The carotenoids are extracted from flowers or fruit, stabilized and mixed with a suitable carrier, resulting in a free flowing powder with standardized activity.
