Live Kirtan with special guests Qi Rattan Qi Rattan are Jagdeep Kaur, who’s exquisite voice is shaped by the awareness of many years experience as a healing therapist, and Amritpal Singh, one of the leading percussionists of the UK who will take you through a journey of the rhythm of life.

They recently released their debut album “Tarang – The Divine Flow” which will be available to purchase during the retreat.

This year we have a Meditation Room open throughout the retreat where prayers, meditation and a Sehej Paath (in English) will take place. In between organised activities, everyone is encouraged to go into the space for quiet reflection and meditation.

Sehej Paath is a reading of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib, (the Shabad Guru, Sikh Scrip-tures and source of many of the mantras in Kundalini Yoga). You can sign-up to do a

reading (in English) throughout the Retreat. Readings will continue on-line and at the Mata Tripta Dar-bar (see below) , with a grand concluding ceremony (“bhog”) in September, to commemorate the day when the Sri Guru Granth Sahib was crowned the eternal Guru for all times. Sehej Paath is an opportunity for you to connect with your soul-self through meditating on the Shabad-Guru.

FUNDRAISING FOR SIKH NARI MANCH (SNM)

SNM is a UK registered Charity (No:10093192) that organises the Annual Kundalini Yoga Retreat in Birmingham, during July every year. SNM runs the Northside Welcome Centre at Mata Tripta House in Erdington, Birmingham. The Centre is a multi-faith hub for the local community of all backgrounds, providing IT training, English and Maths for adults, support for unemployed people, coffee morning, counselling, one-to-one support, Panjabi classes for children and much more. Weekly Kundalini Yoga classes, monthly workshops and Sadhana is also offered. The Centre also houses a small Gurdwara, Mata Tripta Darbar which is a centre for meditation, service and learning. We will be running a raffle with all proceeds going to SNM to further our work. We are very grateful for donations, volunteers and all other offers of support.

The weekend will be led by Angad Kaur:

Angad Kaur fell in love with the Guru and the path of Sikhi after reading Shabads written by the Gurus and Bhagat Kabir. She is a qualified teacher of Kundalini Yoga and Karam Kriya, both rooted in the Sikh Dharma teachings, as well as the Sikh Chaplain at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London where she also teaches breathing and meditation. Angad facilitates regular workshops at the Northside Welcome Centre in Birmingham.

The Venue:
