Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra Medical College of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences Established in accordance with the Central Council of Research in Yoga & Naturopathy, Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India Bachelor of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences (BNYS) ADMISSION PROCEDURE Bachelor of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences (BNYS) program offered by Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra Medical College of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences in accordance with the Central Council of Research in Yoga & Naturopathy, Department of AYUSH, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India Eligibility for the BNYS program is 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with a minimum of 45% marks from a recognized Board. The duration of Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (BNYS) is five and half years including compulsory rotatory internship of one year. st Candidates should complete 17 years of age on or before 31 December in the year of admission, but have not crossed the age of 25 years as on that date, are eligible to apply. The current charges for boarding and lodging are Rs. 55000/- per academic session. A Refundable Hostel Caution Money of Rs.10,000/- shall be paid once at the time of Admission. In first year Hostel accommodation is compulsory for all students. Candidates studying a course approved by Association of Indian Universities (other than CBSE/ICSE/State Board/ Matriculation) as equivalent to 10+2 system of India are eligible to apply. The last two years of such study should include Biology & English. The candidate should obtain an Equivalence Certificate from the Association of Indian Universities, A.I.U. Dr Rao is a graduate from Gandhi Nature Cure Medical College, Hyderabad, and a student of first batch of 1970. After completing his graduation he served as Chief Medical Officer at Institute of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences, Bangalore, Karnataka (Now known as JINDAL Naturopathy Institute) for more than a decade, which is the best of its kind in the world having more than 300 beds capacity with modern technology, equipment and amenities. He has imparted treatment to many well known people of different fields like political, judiciary, philanthropic and social. He conducted research to prove the efficacy of Naturopathy and Yoga in diseases like Bronchial Asthma, Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus, Allergic Rhinitis, Osteoarthritis, Obesity- Lung Function Test, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Multiple Coronary Risk Factors. Dr. Rao was awarded the title “PRAKRUTI CHIKITSA RATNA” in the year 2002 during International Nature Cure Conference held at Institute of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences Bangalore.

Program DirectorDr Devereddy Sambasiva Rao is Professor and Dean of Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra Medical College of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences. Dr Rao is a graduate from Gandhi Nature Cure Medical College, Hyderabad, and a student of first batch of 1970. OUR MISSION

Gangoh is a historical town at the banks of river Yamuna in District Saharanpur of UP, which is approximately 150 km North of New Delhi. It is about 40 kms. from three prominent industrial towns, i.e. Saharanpur, Karnal & Yamuna Nagar. The University buildings are contemporary, light and artistically designed and surrounded by natural scenic landscape.

GOALS OF BNYS COURSER To effectively integrate the conventional basic sciences (e.g. human physiology) with the traditional medical systems and to enhance the

understanding of their effects and therapeutic potential;

R To provide state of the art learning facilities (e.g. audio visual aids, interactive learning systems) to conceptualize the ancient medical system;

R To run advanced laboratories under each department (basic and clinical sciences) for effective experimental training and research;

R To explore the possibilities of promoting effective integrated medical practice at conventional medical facilities attached to the institute;

R To provide the best possible clinical setting for clinical training and research;

R To prepare every Yoga and Naturopathic physician with an in depth understanding of Basic sciences, superior clinical training and with an

A BNYS doctor can work in following domains after completion of the degree:

R General practice in clinics with minimum infrastructure; government and private hospitals;

R National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) under AYUSH, in all states of India;

R Academic, research or science in various government and non-governmental organizations;

R Specialty clinics targeting individual disorders like obesity, stress, allergy, lifestyle, de-addiction, back pain, diet counseling, rehabilitation (medical, psychiatry and post-surgical);

R Stress management and lifestyle management consulting in corporate hospitals and holistic wellness centers;

R Hospitality industry in India and abroad;

R A graduate can also opt for another degree after the BNYS, including the MD (Naturopathy-Clinical/ Yoga-Clinical/ Acupuncture),

MBA (Hospital Healthcare Management), MPH, MSc Health Sciences, MSc Nutrition, PhD and MSc Regenerative Medicine.

* A candidate after passing final B.N.Y.S. Medical Degree Examination shall undergo the compulsory rotatory internship of one year duration.

The duration of Undergraduate Medical Degree in Yoga and Naturopathy (BNYS) is Five and half years'.

Bachelor of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences (BNYS) provides basic education in the integrated system of modern medicine and traditional Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences. It prepares students of profound scholarship in the science of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences having basic and

fundamental knowledge in different subjects of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences backed up by extensive practical training.
