Set on the waters and shores of Cape Cod, with sojourns to Alaska, the Pacific Northwest and elsewhere, her unflinching poems delve into nature and ways in which the landscapes we inhabit stay with us long after we leave them. Bradfield is the author of two other poetry collections Approaching Ice and Interpretive Work. Her poems have appeared in The New Yorker and elsewhere. Founder and editor-in-chief of Broadsided Press, she lives on Cape Cod, works as a naturalist locally as well as on arctic expedition ships, and is Poet-in- Residence at Brandeis University and on the faculty of the low-residency MFA program at University of Alaska Anchorage.
