LUKE’S BOOKS

• Luke’s books explore self and illusion, and

freedom and chance. He has dealt

particularly with the ways in which modern

western societies limit the spontaneity and

creativity of most humans. He sees reason

and seriousness as a form of mental illness,

a madness that seems to be sweeping

humankind towards a civilizational and

ecological disaster. And makes it all seem

funny as hell.
