controversy surrounding Michael Moore as a documentary film maker.
• YOU WILL also learn about some of the cinematic (fiction) and documentary (non-fiction) techniques employed by Moore in order to engage the spectator and raise their political consciousness.

1. The introduction of Charlton Heston in contrast to one of the victims Father –
Who do we side with? Who do we sympathise with? What micro features allow this to happen?
2. Michael Moore first visits Littleton, Colorado – What mise-en-scene micro elements help construct the town to
be idyllic? How do the quick cuts help create humour when talking about the security of a house? What is Moore doing?
