No.Imp./Shop Act/ In exercise of the powers conferred by section 28 of Punjab Shops
and Commercial Establishment Act, 1958 (Punjab) Act No.15 of 1958) read with Punjab
Government Notification No.13302-03L&E(25-S)68/39521 dated 12th/13th, December, 1968. I,
Prabhjot Singh Mand Labour Commissioner, Punjab do hereby exempt the following
establishment of Trent Limited (A Tata Enterprise) from the provision of Section 9 and 10 (1) of
the said Act, which shall be valid up to 31.03.2013.

(1) The management shall be responsible for the compliance of the Provisions of Punjab

(2) All employees working there shall be given one day weekly off in a week.
(3) No child who has not completed the age of fourteen years shall be employed in the
establishment.
(4) No woman shall be allowed to work during night.

eight hours in a week and nine hours in any one day.
