WHEN AND HOW DID LADY GAGA’S CAREER BEGIN?

In 2005 Lady Gaga was briefly signed by Def Jam Records but months later was dropped from the record deal. When Gaga

was dropped she started to perform in clubs and venues in New York and this is when she started to experiment with her odd

fashion choices. In 2007 Lady gaga turned 20 and got back into the music industry, working at ‘Interscope Records’ writing

songs for other popular artists at the time. Lady Gaga created her own show, where she was later discovered by Akon who

was overly impressed by her talent and signed her over to his label. Through 2007 and 2008 Gaga recorded her first ever

debut album ‘The Fame’. As the album spread across the world Gaga had finally made it internationally.

WHO CREATES HER OUTFITS AND TOUR CONCEPTS?

The Haus of Gaga, styles and creates most of Gaga’s outfits and set pieces along with Lady Gaga herself. Lady Gaga doesn’t only wear what her talented team make for her, she also wears

pieces by other overly talented designers, some of these include: Alexander Mcqueen, Yves Saint Lauren, Marc Jacobs,

Chanel, Jean Paul Gaultier and Maison Michel. Gaga also wears pieces which are created by new diesginers helping them to

become more popular in the fashion industry, one of these are Keko Hainswheeler of Keko London in 2009. Lady Gaga usually decides what she wears and normally helps to design it too.

HOW IS THIS FUNDED? Lady Gaga usually funds for all of her things herself using the money from the cost of her tickets and the

sales of her albums. Gaga pays for her costumes herself however when the concert comes to it the funding is

different. The stage layout is paid by the venue however the price may be included in the tickets being sold.

Lady Gaga’s fans are also known as ‘Little Monsters’. This is because during her second album Gaga

developed her theme of monsters, which she then started to refer her fans as ‘Little Monsters’ during her

concerts which they all thought fit well with their character as some fans literally crawled on the floor and screamed like little monsters actually would do. Some terms used by Little monsters are things like

Monsterlove, Monsterhugs or Monsterkisses to show their compassion for one another.

clear when it comes to this. She appeared at Euro pride where she criticised the intolerant state of gay rights in

many European countries.

Many of Lady Gaga’s fans are infatuated by her and everything which she does therefore you can only

imagine how her fans react to her views. Many of fans agree 100% with whatever Gaga says and believes in, this is because they look up to her and they believe

what she would do. Her ‘Little Monsters’ look up to her and what she does,

therefore they also support in what she does, where they are so mesmerised by her the fact she believes in

such positive things such as gay rights means more people will start to be aware of it.
