• Maddie Bartman- Cheerleading Captain , Katie Robinson- Senior Class Treasurer, and Heather Walton- Student Government Parliamentarian. We are the Jefferson Awards Representatives who attended the Fall Leadership Conference.
• More students involved; more recognition/publicity.
• Spread Awareness and Honor of the Jefferson Award as well as a cohesive Leadership Unit.
• Certificate, pin, candy, balloon, Chick-fil-a gift card
• Junior Civitan, Earth Club, Business Entrepreneur Class and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes
• Publicly awarding students, spreading awareness of the SIA program
• October had one winner and then we transferred to an every-other-month system

Jefferson Award RecipientOctober Winner
Class of 2010- foreign exchange student at
Lake Howell; volunteers at various Wekiwa
Springs River clean-ups. This involves picking
up trash on the bank as well as in the river.

December Winners
Class of 2010- volunteers year round as the coach for the
Altamonte Sparklers, a cheerleading team with special
needs. She practices on Sundays and participates in events such as the Central
Florida All Star Football Game.

Stephanie Goldberg
Jefferson Award Recipient
Class of 2011- for the past 4-5 years he
participates in mission trips to Kentucky,
Tennessee where he is assigned to a family and
assists by numerous home renovations. Every Thanksgiving he and his
family volunteer at a homeless shelter until
9pm.

Luke Naughton
February WinnersJefferson Award Recipient
Class of 2010- has over 500 hours logged for volunteering at the
Florida Hospital, he worked in the M.I.T. department.
Shannon Bassoe
Camila CarroShe works with the Red Cross of Central Florida. She has taken part in miscellaneous activities
that include: baseball for children with diabetes, CPR training, Car washes, and many fund raisers.
