The water depth in the field varies from 16 to 30 m. The type is unmanned offshore fixed wellhead cum production platform provided with 8 conductor slots to drill 8 new wells each to be completed as dual string producer (8 conductors/16 wells). A brief description of the automated LAM-B offshore fixed wellhead cum production platform plus major associated facilities is given below: the substructure consists of two jackets fixed in design position by piles driven into the sea bed and joined on top by means of support framing. Topside consists of a drain deck, main deck, wire line deck, one cargo deck and corresponding fire-walls. The platform accommodates 8 nos. of 30” conductors in two rows arrangement with well spacing of 2.8 m x 4.9 m x 2.8 m and 3 m spacing between rows. Enough spacing is provided between X-mas trees to allow for safe operation and maintenance of X-mas trees. The platform is planned such that the wells array on one edge of the platform so as to use jack up rig. Riser and its clamps to the platform: 12” for the pipeline from LAM-B to LAM-28 (not included into contractor’s scope of work). The platform is provided with two boat landings, topside facility to accommodate 16 wells and is equipped with process and other equipment as per Client’s order. Overview > The project on EPC basis included design, engineering, procurement, steel structures fabrication at fabrication yard in Astrakhan, Russia, load-out of ready modules and jackets on barge, transportation to Turkmenistan, offshore installation on location using marine spread consisted both of own and chartered support fleet, connection of platform modules, finalizing LAM-B wellhead process package, driving of 8 conductors, start-up, testing and commissioning of process equipment and all auxiliary process communications and networks. Design has been carried out by the NCG Services in-house design and engineering team of NCGS Group. The project was inspected and certified by Germanischer Lloyd. Engineering included organization, coordination, maintenance of the project and internal technical supervision over the construction. All supplies and deliveries have been supervised by commercial department and procurement and logistics department. All equipment and materials required for fabrication of steel structures and piping has been mainly supplied by recognized and approved international companies. To provide high quality output continuous technical supervision over construction has been carried out by third party inspection: Germanischer Lloyd representative.

LAM-B Wellhead Platform

GeneralDescription>LAM-B platform is located at LAM field in the Caspian Sea about 30 km offshore

Cheleken area in Turkmenistan. The water depth in the field varies from 16 to 30 m.

The type is unmanned offshore fixed wellhead cum production platform provided with

8 conductor slots to drill 8 new wells each to be completed as dual string producer

(8 conductors/16 wells).

A brief description of the automated LAM-B offshore fixed wellhead cum production

platform plus major associated facilities is given below: the substructure consists

of two jackets fixed in design position by piles driven into the sea bed and joined on top

by means of support framing. Topside consists of a drain deck, main deck, wire line deck,

one cargo deck and corresponding fire-walls.

The platform accommodates 8 nos. of 30” conductors in two rows arrangement with

well spacing of 2.8 m x 4.9 m x 2.8 m and 3 m spacing between rows. Enough spacing

is provided between X-mas trees to allow for safe operation and maintenance of X-mas

trees. The platform is planned such that the wells array on one edge of the platform

so as to use jack up rig. Riser and its clamps to the platform: 12” for the pipeline from

LAM-B to LAM-28 (not included into contractor’s scope of work). The platform is provided

with two boat landings, topside facility to accommodate 16 wells and is equipped with

process and other equipment as per Client’s order.

Overview>

The project on EPC basis included design, engineering, procurement,

steel structures fabrication at fabrication yard in Astrakhan, Russia,

load-out of ready modules and jackets on barge, transportation

to Turkmenistan, offshore installation on location using marine spread

consisted both of own and chartered support fleet, connection

of platform modules, finalizing LAM-B wellhead process package,

driving of 8 conductors, start-up, testing and commissioning

of process equipment and all auxiliary process communications

and networks.

Design has been carried out by the NCG Services in-house design

and engineering team of NCGS Group. The project was inspected and

certified by Germanischer Lloyd.

Engineering included organization, coordination, maintenance of the

project and internal technical supervision over the construction.

All supplies and deliveries have been supervised by commercial

department and procurement and logistics department. All equipment

and materials required for fabrication of steel structures and piping

has been mainly supplied by recognized and approved international

companies.

To provide high quality output continuous technical supervision

over construction has been carried out by third party inspection:

Germanischer Lloyd representative.

Smart Solutions

Smart Solutions>The project pioneered the use by our design and engineering team

new specialized 3D modeling software by Bentley Systems in their work

for all project segments: from steel structures and process, instrumentation,

power supply, heat tracing of pipelines and gauges to life saving and firefighting

equipment.

Being a new experience to our engineers this required much effort

to quickly train personnel and nail down all the tools and tweaks offered by

this sophisticated software to do the job. Yet, it brought in great results.

Owing to this 3D design platform which enabled us to find spare tunnels

for piping installation, as well as to detect collisions with existing objects etc.,

not only this project has been successfully implemented, but it also contributed

a lot to optimize all the following projects making design and engineering

a lot smarter, easier and versatile.

Moreover, LAM-B project became a part of a competition held by Bentley

Systems where we managed to demonstrate our professionalism and join

the leaders.
