LAMBRO is Greece’s largest and most respected producer of shotgun ammunition. The company was founded in 1977 by the Lambro brothers, owners of a metallurgical industry since 1932. With vision and ambitious objectives, the Lambro brothers introduced high standards in all stages of the production process.Lambro uses only high quality components and complies to very strict Quality Control standards.In the 80’s LAMBRO cartridges rapidly became the preferred choice of hunters and became nr.1 in the Greek market (Greece is one of Europe’s most important and largest in size hunting markets).Since 2003 the brand was acquired by S. NAFPLIOTIS ABEE, an enterprise founded in 1932 by Ioannis Candarjis, with long tradition in the hunting business.In 2009, the company receives C.I.P certification, both for its cartridges and testing equipment.

Our philosophy

C.I.P. CertificationThe C.I.P. safeguards that every civil firearm and all ammunition sold in C.I.P. member states is safe for the users. To achieve this, cartridges are regularly tested at the C.I.P. accredited Proof Houses.

The specific requirements are the following:• Appropriate markings on the cartridges as well as on their smallest packaging units.• Appropriately sized (loadable) ammunition,• Appropriate gas pressure, not exceeding the required level,• Appropriate functioning when used with commercially available weapons.The standard proof of cartridges consists of firing a minimum quantity of cartridges (depending to the size of the Lot) that has to comply with the appropriate pressure values.

Technical procedures describing how to perform proofing are also established by the C.I.P. and updates to the various test methods are issued in the form of “decisions”. These decisions can also easily be obtained by everyone involved. All C.I.P. established data and decisions is/are formally distributed to the member states through diplomatic channels to let them publish it/them in their official journals. After official publication C.I.P. established data and decisions obtain(s) undisputable legal status in all C.I.P. member states.Governmental organizations, like military and police forces and other firearms bearing public power agencies, from the C.I.P. member states are legally exempted from having to comply with C.I.P. rulings. This does not automatically imply that all firearms and ammunitions used by governmental organizations in C.I.P. member states are not C.I.P. compliant, since those organizations often choose to self-impose the relevant C.I.P. standards for their service firearms and ammunition.

Αntimony 2%Lambro, guarantees a minimum 2% of antimony in the lead shots that its using.Why 2% antimony?Lead is a soft metal. During the firing, lead shots tend to deform due to their friction inside the barrel and pressure. This causes the lead shots to lose a part of their sphericity, resulting to aerodynamic loss, lower velocities and uneven or wider shot patterns. Antimony increases the hardness of the lead shots, limits the above effects and improves the shot performance. 2% antimony is considered a good figure for the hunting lead shots.How do we guaranty 2%?We carefully select reliable lead shot suppliers that are able to guarantee high quality standards. Additionally, in collaboration with the State Chemistry Laboratory of Greece, we perform frequent sample controls and the chemical analysis which assure that our suppliers respect our standards.

A balanced load of 28 gr. with a big variety of shot sizes from semi buck shots to nr 9, Classic 16 is suitable for any game. Lambro is the sole Greek producer using original Brenneke slugs under official license of the world famous slug producer. Silver magnum is a top choice for wild boar hunting at medium and long distance shots. With plenty of energy and incredible precision, Silver magnum gives no reason for a second shot. It can be used with any choke (including FULL).

When excellent penetration and uncompromised performance under any weather condition is required, BIG GAME is the choice for wild boar hunting. Very stable due to the S4 double base powder and a generous 23mm metal head for optimum functionality and ballistics.

PALLA is a classic 32 gr Slug with very high velocity and great impact force. It is distinguished from its unique precision, (2,5 cm grouping at 20 meters!) and can be also shot from full choked barrels. With a generous 23mm metal head for optimum performance.
