Programme / Exhibitions

Landskrona Foto is a project by the City of Landskrona with great ambitions for the future, to say the least. With the aim of becoming The Home of Photography in Scandinavia, complete with a museum of the history of photography and research centre in collaboration with Lund University, Landskrona Foto produces unique exhibitions of contemporary photography and also arrange Sweden’s largest annual photo festival.

FRIDAY AUGUST 19

10:00–23:00 Exhibitions are open (Landskrona konsthall from 20:00). Festival Pass required for admission. 10:00–16:00 International Seminar: Media Consumption and Memory Loss in a Digital Age. With Fred Ritchin, Dominique Roynette and Tomasz Kizny. Moderator Lars Mogensen. Grand salon, Landskrona teater.

12:00–22:00 Photobook Fair with Swedish and international publishers. Landskrona teater. 16:00–18:00 Book signing with photographers such as Gerry Johansson, Johan Willner, John Webb and Klara Källström and Thobias Fäldt et al. Landskrona teater.

18:00 Pre-opening party with entertainment and picnic in the park surrounding Landskrona konsthall. The bar serves food and drink.

20:00 Official opening. Inaguration speech by Hasse Persson, Artistic Director at Strandverket. Landskrona konsthall.

21:00 Book release for the winner of the Landskrona Foto and Breadfield Dummy Award 2015. Meral Güler/Dan Porter. The theatre bar, Landskrona teater.

21:30 Helsingborgs Dagblad’s Photo Salon. Curator Nygårds Karin Bengtsson speaks with exhibiting photographers Karolina Jonderko and Victoria Crayhorn. Norra Långgatan 17.

22:00 Projection in the public space by Clément Briend. Teaterparken.

10:00–13:00 Photobook: Theme Russia. Jana Romanova presents the project The Expert Photobook Review with a series of short photobook reviews by experts from a variety of backgrounds. Later in the day she will live-review Swedish photobooks together with invited guests. The art of editing a photobook – Performance with Nadya Sheremetova, Curator at the Fotodepartament Gallery, St Petersburg. Photographers Jana Romanova and Julia Borissova hold a “Reading Club” on how to read photography books. The theatre bar, Landskrona teater.

18:15 Don’t Blink – Robert Frank. A film about photographer and filmmaker Robert Frank. Directed by Laura Israel. First screening in Scandinavia. Grand salon, Landskrona teater.

21:00–22:00 Pecha Kucha. Ten photographers present ten books. The theatre bar, Landskrona teater.
