Over-the-phone interpretation - Telephone
interpreting is a service that connects interpreters via
telephone to individuals who wish to speak to each
other but do not share a common language.

Schools can call Language Line at no cost to obtain an interpreter in over 200 languages any time of the day. To access an over-the-phone interpreter:

Tips for Working with an Interpreter
1. Brief the interpreter
2. Speak directly to the parent
3. Speak naturally and in segments
4. Ask if the parents understand
5. Do not ask for the interpreter’s opinion
