Pre-finish process
Paint and the stain base coat
are applied by spraying the
color onto the door. Our stain
is applied in a 3 step process.
…one of these steps involves
hand-wiping the glaze onto
the door, until it matches the
control door.

Pre-finish process
Notice how the lite
frames are
separated from the
product, but are still
finished together to
ensure a perfect
match.
Please understand that because our doors are hand-
stained, there may be slight variations in color
compared to the in-store displays. However, we do our
best to match them by using a control door, which is
inspected and signed-off on by the plant manager.

Entry Jambs Pre-finish options
If your customer would like their jamb to be pre-finished by Masonite, they must choose a vinyl jamb. For entry doors, this is the only type of
jamb that Masonite pre-finishes.
For customers with a textured fiberglass door, you may opt for a
textured vinyl jamb. For smooth fiberglass and steel, the smooth vinyl
jamb will work.
We only paint the smooth vinyl jamb, but we will paint or stain the
textured vinyl jamb.
Please remember that if the customer opts for brickmould on the door order, it will be finished in whichever color they choose for the
jamb.
