LARKS SMART START PLANA GUIDE TO OPERATING BISMARCK MUNICIPAL BALLPARK,

HOME OF DAKOTA COMMUNITY BANK & TRUST FIELD

GENERAL STATEMENTThe guidelines and recommendations identified below represent practical best efforts to proactively keep our players, employees, fans, and community safe when attending events at Bismarck Municipal Ballpark.

These practices were compiled using ND Smart Restart guidelines with an emphasis on social distancing, hygiene, minimizing human touchpoint opportunities, and individual responsibility. These plans have been reviewed in conjunction with Burleigh-Bismarck Public Health, Bismarck Parks and Recreation, the Northwoods League, and various public health officials. The Bismarck Larks will continually review and adjust these guidelines based on the most updated recommendations from federal, state, and local health officials.

BALLPARK CLEANLINESS• Before each game, the ballpark seats, tables and high touch areas will be disinfected. • Hand sanitizer stations will be added to strategic spots throughout the ballpark.• Trash can lids will remain open or off each game, allowing touchless access for trash receptacles.• Restrooms

• Restrooms will be disinfected before the game and once during the game.• Restroom doors will be propped open to encourage touchless entry/exit.• The Larks will limit the number of fans in the restroom at one time to encourage social distancing.

ENTRY/EXIT• Fans are encouraged to check their temperature before the game. If a fan does not feel well or is

running a fever over 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit, the Larks kindly ask that they do not attend the game. Please call your ticket representative before the game to discuss alternate options.

• Fans are encouraged, but not required, to bring and wear a face mask. Larks face masks can be purchased at the ballpark.

• Gates will open 90 minutes before first pitch to alleviate congestion. If needed, additional entrances may be utilized to alleviate congestion.

• Entrance lines will be arranged and marked to encourage proper distancing.• Clear bags are encouraged for a contactless bag check experience.• For ticket scanning, the pod leader will hold out all tickets and a Larks employee will scan.• To alleviate crowding at the gate, fans will be asked to immediately go up the concourse or turn left

towards Clark’s Closet. • If fans have questions, they can ask at the Mann Signs Sign Up table located to the right of the KFYR

lineup and standings board.• At the conclusion of the game, all fans will be asked to remain in their seat while the Larks dismiss

individual rows to alleviate congestion.

SOCIAL DISTANCING• The Bismarck Larks ballpark capacity will be based on the ND Smart Restart risk level guidelines for

large gatherings. At the Green/Low Risk level, fan capacity will be limited to 500. At the Blue/New Normal level, the Larks would increase ballpark capacity to no more than 50% (950 fans). The Larks reserve the right to increase this capacity during the season if and when state guidelines are updated.

• Depending on the section, every other row of box seats and bleachers will not be seated OR there will be an empty seat directly in front of and behind each seated guest.

• At least two seats will separate each ticket package pod in a row.• Fans are encouraged not to place personal items in empty seats.• In group seating areas, tables and chairs will be properly spaced and no table will seat more than 10.• Lines throughout the ballpark will be marked so that household pods have proper spacing.

* White circles indicate empty seats.

TICKET PURCHASING/SERVICING• As a general practice, tickets will not be printed on-site. Instead, box office personnel will email tickets

to a customer’s device if able. • Stanchions and/or spacing markers will promote proper social distancing between fans waiting in lines.• Season ticket and group/hospitality customers will have the option of contactless ticket distribution; all

subsequent exchanges or additional ticket requests may be conducted electronically.

FAN EXPERIENCE• Cashless Payment

• To eliminate numerous contact points, the Larks will only accept credit card and electronic payments at all concession, merchandise and ticket locations throughout the ballpark.

• Fans will not be required to sign for credit card purchases.• Fans are still encouraged to leave cash tips if desired. Tips will be disinfected each night.

• All Inclusive Food and Beverage Areas• Upon entry to all-inclusive food and beverage areas, fans are instructed to hold their ticket and

ID up so the Larks employee can read it. The employee will then hand a wristband to the fan and watch the fan put their wristband on. Once the wristband is on, the fan may move forward.

• Larks staff will be required to wear proper personal protection, including masks and gloves.• Larks staff will be serving food and beverage buffets in all-inclusive ticket package areas. • Fans who have beer/wine included with their ticket will be asked to remove the tab from their

wristband and drop it in a bucket in sight of the beer pourer. • Condiment stations will be removed. Staff will serve condiments to fans in pre portioned servings.• Multi use cups will be eliminated, requiring a fan to get a clean cup each trip.• All beverage stations will be staffed, and beverages will be served to fans.• Beer cans will not be opened by Larks staff. Fan must open in front of staff member.• Food and beverage lines will be marked in a way to allow for proper social distancing.• The Larks will install plastic sneeze guards at concession stand counters.• Fans are encouraged to wipe down all picnic tables with readily available disinfectant wipes after

use or to notify a Larks attendant.• Fans are kindly asked to spit items including seeds and peanuts into cups.• Fans are kindly asked to throw away their own trash during and after the game.

• On Field Entertainment• The Larks Promotions Conductors will sign up fans for on field games using pens that will undergo

a sanitation process or be kept by the fan. • The Larks Promotions Conductors will use gloves and masks when handing out items to fans.• In between inning promotions will abide by proper distancing guidelines and minimal contact.• After retrieving a foul ball, make sure to wash or sanitize your hands.

• YMCA Family Fun Zone• The Larks will not operate traditional Fun Zone attractions such as the bounce house, zip line,

obstacle course, and other high touchpoint games. • Instead, the Fun Zone will feature scheduled activities that allow for proper distancing.

• Gifts/Handouts• Handouts will still occur with protective measures in place, i.e. programs will be handed out with gloves.• 7 Pack Gifts will still be distributed. Fans will not be permitted to exchange their gifts for a different size.

• Clark’s Closet• Number of fans in Clark’s Closet will be limited to 10 at a time. • Fans may be asked to wear a mask while in the store and sanitize hands upon entry/exit.• Exchanges and returns will not be accepted.• The store and checkout line will be marked in a way to allow for proper social distancing.
