Larrakeyah Peer Support Program Woolworths Earn and Learn Stickers Final Consultation on School Term Dates and Holiday Breaks The Northern Territory Government is undertaking the third and final round of consultation on proposed changes to the school term dates and holiday breaks for all NTG schools. Have your say on which of the three proposed models you believe will provide the best opportunity for Northern Territory students to achieve their highest possible educational outcomes. Complete the online survey and/or email [email protected] to register to participate in a focus group to dis- cuss the proposed change to the school term dates and holiday breaks in the Northern Territory. Focus groups will be held from 21 September – 2 October 2015. Further details of the location and times of these sessions will be confirmed by Friday 11 September 2015. The online survey will be open from 7 September – 2 October 2015. The results collected from the survey and feedback provided from the focus groups will inform the final deci- sion. Any change to the current model, this change will be implemented in 2018. No change will be made to the school term dates and holiday breaks prior to 2018, providing a two year lead time to adequately prepare for the revised model. The Beat showcases the talents of NT students and our students have been practicing hard. Many thanks to Mrs Vrettis for the time that she has given to The Beat rehearsals and training our students. We are all looking forward to The Beat production this week. Our students are also practising for Larrakeyah Primary’s whole school production of A Night On Broadway. Tickets are now on sale at the Darwin Entertainment Centre. Tickets are selling fast! Tickets can be purchased either online www.yourcentre.com.au or from the DEC Box Office. $22 adult and $12 child or concession holders. There is no charge for Larrakeyah Primary students who will be performing. As the concert is “out of normal school hours”, Larrakeyah Primary students can only attend if they are accompanied by a parent or guardian. Any Larrakeyah Primary students attending who are not participating in the Performance must be seated with their parents and a ticket needs to be purchased for them. We have noticed an increasing number of students who are waiting for parents for quite a while after school – this can be up to 90 minutes on some occasions. School finishes at 2.45pm. It is the responsibility of parents to promptly collect students from school or organise alternative supervision arrangements. We have an Out of Schools Hours Care (OSHC) program operating at the school. Please contact the school for OSHC information.
