Larry Dale Mitchell Age 69, a resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Circle of Life Hospice House in Springdale, Arkansas. He was born July 18, 1951 in Dallas, Texas, the son of Matt and Jean (Skinner) Mitchell. Larry started operating a truck when he was sixteen years old. He worked as an Owner/Operator until 1997 when Larry Mitchell Trucking was formed and incorporated. He built a successful small trucking company until retiring in August of 2017. He loved driving and traveling with Karen in their motor coach and visited many beautiful places. He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters Helen Carroll, Lois Shirley, JoAnne Brown, Debbie Whitworth and Sandra Fortuna. Survivors include his wife Karen Mitchell; three sons Larry Mitchell Jr. and his wife Jackie of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Billy Mitchell and his wife Ellie of Monterey, California, and Jeremy Holmes and his wife Misty of Hanna, Oklahoma; one daughter Kara Bryan and her husband Dirk of Springdale, Arkansas; four brothers Ronnie Mitchell and his wife Rita of Antlers, Oklahoma, Jerry Mitchell of Valliant, Oklahoma, Michael Mitchell of Kingston, Oklahoma and Kenneth Beck and his wife Gina of Emory, Texas; eight grandchildren John, Elle, Nixon, Truitt, and Jude Mitchell, Lane and Cooper Holmes and Dirk Bryan II; one great grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.
