Laser Blade revolutionises the concept of the downlight. The product with miniaturised optic, providing high visual comfort, uses the physical principle of pinpoint lamps, generating circular light emission. No more rigid frameworks, but instead ample opportunities for customisation.

A classic circular downlight forms a point in space. Laser Blade, with its linear geometry, forms a segment, a direction. The luminous effect being equal, Laser Blade introduces a new
approach with visual stimulation, graphic lighting of rooms, surfaces, walls and ceilings. The possible configurations affect behaviour and the way people relate to space (“Field theory”).
Longitudinal installation Laser Blade, installed parallel with the larger sides, emphasises the length of the room and makes people move faster. In open environments, large spaces, halls, this type of installation visually defines a travel hierarchy through the space. It defines a direction.
Transversal installation Installed orthogonally to the long side, Laser Blade reduces the length of the space, cutting the visual distance and the speed at which people cross the area.
Mixed installation Laser Blade can be used to create many graphical textures: box profiles, diagonals, lighting effects.
Traditional installation A classic circular downlight forms a point in space. It does not create guiding lines which affect our visual perception of the space.

Laser Blade CRI97 guarantees colour rendering which is incomparable even in terms of tones that are usually critical, such as red. The R9 value (red colour test) is 92, which can be classed as excellent.

Lighting quality over time. Colour properties.
Color consistency.
Lighting design requirements vary based on the possible applications. Laser Blade is available with three different types of LED: in colour temperatures
Neutral, Warm and Colour Rendering CRI85 and CRI97. The warm white version CRI97 houses LEDs with unbeatable colour performance.
The great care taken by iGuzzini in its constant and repetitive selection of LEDs, establishing partnerships with the best suppliers in the world, guarantees colour consistency which is not just constant over
time, but also the same for different products in the same project. Laser Blade houses LEDs with a MacAdam Step value of <3. The chromatic difference between two or more colours is imperceptible.
The images show for the CRI97 LED the optimum balance of all colours and attractive colour tones comparable to a halogen lamp.

Lighting quality over time.Lasting performance.
Correct passive heat dissipation is the fundamental requirement to guarantee high lifetime performance for LEDs. iGuzzini runs thermal simulations, using the best software available, so that it can find
optimum design solutions to make heat flow away as efficiently as possible. Laser Blade was designed so that after 50,000 hours of use it will retain 80% of the initial flux (L80).

Visual comfort.The innovative micro-reflector generates lighting which is pleasant for the eye and the space.
The optical unit is carefully designed. Laser Blade’s high definition micro-reflectors, integrated in the innovative black anti-glare screen (or
Raster), generate an emission with controlled luminance of 1000 candela per square metre, viewing angle α 65° with UGR<19.
The light source allows the lamp to be hidden from view. No ray of light emitted (black) or reflected (yellow) strikes the black cover, meaning that no visible point of the optical array reflects the light.
30° Cut Off Angle Within that angle there is no perception of the light (luminaire total dark look).
58° Glare comfort Cut Off Within that angle the reflector does not produce glare reflections, so it provides a high level of visual comfort.

In various applications, lighting has to be directed or aimed. Laser Blade Adjustable allows the light to follow the space, concentrating or widening the diameter

near the ceiling. The luminaire makes it easier to read the surrounding environment and gives the observer the impression of a well-lit, open space. A surface lit using a Wall washer takes on a light look which enhances the objects on it.

The secret of Laser Blade Wall washer is its patented optical unit: a combination of reflectors and optical screens. Careful technological study has produced an optical layout consisting of an oblique internal
reflective part (which directs light as far as the upper edge of the wall) and a front refractive, prismatic surface. Laser Blade Wall washer can be used in combination with the two general lighting and high contrast versions.

A compact, minimal profile multiplies the possible applications of Laser Blade. Ceiling-mounted, pendant, recessed, single module or grouped in a continuous row, to fit in perfectly with the geometry of the space.
Two versionsiN30 Led is available with two emission solutions direct: low contrast for general lighting with an opal diffuser screen; high contrast, with Laser Blade micro-reflectors, for direct light with controlled luminance and high visual comfort (UGR<19).

Modular, extremely minimal and compact. The opening measuring just 53 mm and the “frameless” profile guarantee that the lighting system blends in. Making the most of a space, emphasising the plasticity of the material, creating light and shade effects. All of this is possible with a directed, focused light. Laser Blade
system53 has an innovative adjustable module, with a rotating-translating movement system: for light which is efficiently and comfortably adjusted.
The innovative rotating-translating system allows module rotation ± 45° in an opening of just 53 mm. The axis of rotation translates along a trajectory defined so that the product is aligned with the profile (highest position).
The spot can be moved inside or outside the channel. Inside it can be angled from –30° to +40°, if extracted it can perform a 355° rotation at an angle of up to 90°.

To guarantee operation and safety, public bodies have set specific standards, which protect the end user against risks. In line with its quality and safety policy, iGuzzini makes its products in compliance with said standards. Non-electric components of the systems (covers, couplings, etc.) cannot be considered luminaires, therefore they are not covered by the standards used as the basis for
certification by quality seal Institutes. However, for all components of the systems certified, compatibility and safe use have been tested by the Institutes. Luminaires in the iGuzzini collection are designed in conformity with European Standards EN 60598-1 and special requirements, therefore they meet said requirements, including maximum temperatures allowed, considering
25°C as the ambient temperature. For countries or application environments with thermal or microclimatic references other than those envisaged (e.g.: swimming pools, environments with the risk of explosion, etc.) please contact the company. For correct installation of the luminaires always consult the instruction leaflet supplied with the product.
iGuzzini guarantees that its products are free from manufacturing and/or material defects, for normal intended use, for a period of five years from the date of the invoice, subject to online registration at the website www.iguzzini.com and acceptance of specific conditions. In any case, iGuzzini recognises the legal warranty.
