Using A Template

Build the foundation for the site, add any logos / banners you might need

List all the pages on the menu or a side bar

Put the company info / address along with any copyright info at the bottom

Now add all the content for the first page

Welcome note, about you script and anything else you want to write

Add pictures and graphics that fit with your text.

Once you’ve got the first page looking more or less like you want, save it!

Now save it as another page name and in seconds you have two pages.

Start adding the content for that page, photo gallery, contact info and more.

Work on your main site for an hour, or even days and when it’s ready duplicate it as

many times as you need.

The Power of The Search Engine

A web search engine is designed to search for information on the World Wide Web and FTP servers. The search results are generally

presented in a list of results and are often called hits. The information may consist of web pages, images, information and other types of

files. Some search engines also mine data available in databases / open directories. Unlike Web directories, which are maintained by

human editors, search engines operate algorithmically or are a mixture of algorithmic and human input.

How do they work?

Web search engines work by storing information about

many web pages, which they retrieve from the html itself.

These pages are retrieved by a Web crawler (sometimes

also known as a spider) — an automated Web browser

which follows every link on the site.



Keywords Meta elements are HTML or XHTML elements used to provide structured metadata about a Web page. Such elements

must be placed as tags in the head section of an HTML or XHTML document. Meta elements can be used to specify page

description, keywords and any other metadata not provided through the other head elements and attributes.

The keywords attribute was popularized by search engines such as Infoseek and AltaVista in 1995, and its popularity quickly

grew until it became one of the most commonly used meta elements. By late 1997, however, search engine providers realized

that information stored in meta elements, especially the keywords attribute, was often unreliable and misleading, and at worst,

used to draw users into spam sites.
