INTRODUCTION

Pune is the cultural capital of Maharashtra. Also known as the Oxford of East with

number of colleges and now emerging as a world class destination for IT and ITES

companies after Banglore and Hyderabad.

Pune has contributed in retail development largely with the economic development and

the floating population totaling up to 5 million people. This has added thrust to

development of varios formats of retail like the mall, discount store and aslo some major

high street developments being most dominant.

Pune is divided geographically in Central, North, South, East and West.

Central : MG road, SB road, JM road, FC road and LAW College road.

North : PCMC area along with some part of Aundh highstreet.
