The 775 - hour Basic Peace Officer program is designed to allow you to become a certified peace officer in the State of Texas. With a curriculum developed by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) and taught by experienced peace officers, you will be prepared for the state’s Peace Officer Licensing Exam. Law Enforcement You can make a difference in your community as an officer trained at the Collin College Law Enforcement Academy (CCLEA). For more than 25 years, the academy has trained its graduates to serve and protect. CCLEA offers certificate and in-service opportunities for cadets and active law enforcement officers, building on reality-based training techniques in one of the most advanced public safety training facilities in Texas.
