The CCBA’s annual celebration of Law Day was held at the Tiburon Country Club. The

luncheon began with the powerful voice of our own Julianne Gilmore performing the

national anthem. Our featured guest speaker, Law Librarian of Congress David Mao, spoke

to members about this year’s theme, celebrating the 800th anniversary of the Magna Car-

ta. He showed passion for the history and importance of this powerful document that has

influenced law rules and practices over centuries. The recipient of the Medal of Honor

Award was Ita Neymotin of the Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel,

Second District. Ms. Neymotin was recognized for her professionalism and public service, as

well as her participation in legal education.
