ECSEL Italy Day The ECSEL Mirror Group Italy has been established in Italy at the end of 2015, with the purpose to support the Italian participation in the ECSEL Joint Undertaking, following the model of other European countries. It involves the Italian government through the ministries of Research and University (MIUR) and of Economic Development (MISE), the Regions, the Large Enterprise, the SMEs, the ANIE Federation and AEIT-AMES National day of ECSEL Mirror Group Italy The National day of ECSEL Mirror Group Italy 2017, with this first edition, aims at beco- ming the reference forum for the Italian community to promote the national parti- cipation to the calls of the ECSEL Joint Te- chnology Initiative. With a total forecast of more than 5 billion Euro in research investment, half of which coming from the European Commission and the National Governments, the ECSEL Joint Technology Initiative is the most am- bitious of the Public-Private Partnerships started by the European Commission in the frame of the Horizon2020 programme. It has the objective to fund research, deve- lopment and innovation projects in the fields of Nanoelectronics, Cyber-Physical Systems and Smart Systems. The National day of ECSEL Mirror Group Italy will be based on presentations held by main Italian and European representatives of the sector and on round tables. It will present the present situation of the ECSEL JTI, with special attention to the 2017 calls, its future evolution and the op- portunities for funding at national and re- gional level. Already running projects will be presented with special attention to the ones that include an Italian participation, and the opportunity will be given to have a first glance at the proposals being prepa- red and discussed for the 2017 calls.
