The Northshore League consists of two teams from Cypress Woods, and one team each from Pioneer Village, Crystal Lakes, Bayshore and Upriver. This year our Tuesday team from Lazy Days came in FIRST. SECURITY CAMERASMizpah Integrations has installed our new security
camera system. This company also does security video for RSW airport and Lee Health. We all know that this won’t totally prevent crime, but statistics are very clear that lighting and cameras are a major deterrent. But remember, IF YOU SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING. Do not hesitate to call 911. Board members, by the way, cannot fix everything, and they do deserve their Sundays off. However, we will do what we can in an EMERGENCY.

CULVERT ON LEISUREThe crumbling, failing area around the culvert on
Leisure has been fixed. Thanks to Johns Jefferson & Henry for heading this project up, and a special thanks for the work that John Henry did to complete the job that the company did not come back to complete to our satisfaction.
WATER IMPROVEMENTSLCU informed us that our water system is old, fragile,
and inadequate. They noted that even a slight tapping of a shovel can break a pipe. (Hmmm, sounds like our old bodies, doesn’t it?) Over a 2-3 year period LCU will be in and around our community installing new pipes, increasing the size coming in from the main lines out by the road, and to our homes. This is all at no cost to us, and there are a few added perks. At this time, if there is a water leak, the entire park’s water supply would have to be shut off. After this project, the water supply can be turned off for that street only. Another major perk is that we will have new fire hydrants throughout the entire park.
YOUR LDPOA BOARDI want to personally thank the entire Board. Many
members have experienced very difficult times in their lives lately. Yet, I believe that your Board members each work an average 20-30 hours per week. With the recent management situation, that has only increased. Your Board members take their positions seriously and have the good of the community at heart. They expect no thanks—they do this because they love Lazy Days. Of course, they know that they can’t please everyone, and feel sad when they cannot. It would be real thoughtful if you would thank a Board member when you see them. Board members that work tirelessly with me: Bill VanDriessche, Paula Sutton, Nancy Chandler, Shirley Hernly, John Jefferson, and John Henry.

EASTER EGG HUNTA terrific turnout (88-90) for our first ever Lazy Days
Easter Egg Hunt. The brunch was plentiful and delicious, and the actual egg hunt was hilarious! Prizes (including a hand-made quilt donated by Mary Ford) were received by all. Note: We’re still not sure where Cynthia’s golden egg came from!
