In tune with our Prime Ministers dream project of Swachh Bharat, the theme of Ravan making competition was to make Swachh Ravans. The teams were given challenging task of making Ravan out of Recycled/Reused materials and not waste new product to burn the effigy, as well as spread the message to clean our nation.
The four WARNAR SENA were extremely excited and lively set of teams to make the best Ravan. The teams spent a lot of time deciding on themes for their Ravans and had to do enormous efforts to collect waste from their homes and work places to make the Ravans.

Leo Sunburn Pool Party and 4th GM Report by Leo Ravi Toshniwal; Ayush Jains farmhouse, Saturday, 1st November, 2014
This is regarding the Sunburn party organized on 1st Nov. 2014 at Leo Ayush Jains Farmhouse. It started with the general meeting in which, all the events occurred in last month and the upcoming events were discussed. The enthralling point of this meeting was that it was held inside the pool to elicit the charm of the event. Moreover, it was a one-of- its-kind and never seen before in the history of Leo Club. The meeting was attended by 25 members.
Winter on wheels at Indore along with Leo collects clothes for Kashmir victims.
MDP Leo Darshan Nagarseth expresses his feelings towards an unfortunate event amongst the Leo family.

The members adopted the beach-fit attire for the party. Very soon, the people were into the pool, mes- merized by the tunes of DJ. Jubilant party members tickled
their feet along with the DJ and in no time were into the water floor! The crowd turned even more boisterous when the over water and under water games were played. The entire balloon decoration and use of props such as swimming glasses, costumes, balls etc. successfully created an environment of a party along the beach. People dancing inside and outside water were catered with floating snacks and mocktails. The high spir-its had to tranquilize around 8 pm. The event is the exemplary of sunburn parties.
Greetings Fellow Leos!
Hopefully, everyone is back on track by now,
after the festive week. Dhan-teras shopping, Diwali pooja, card parties, Milan, Binging on sweets and dressing up so much to do at once and now suddenly life is still again. For a couple of mornings, every sunrise brings us Monday morning blues! But then, we are re-freshed and there is hope and excitement for the next event.
In this festive period, all of us were occupied at our homes. But LCIM still managed to have successful events like Re- Ra-van, Winter on Wheels as well as the Sunburn Pool Party. It is always good to be around those familiar faces, right?
Now begins the wedding sea-son. Some of our Leo friends are also getting hitched this
We Speak.winter. We wish them all the very best for the preparations and the D-Day as well. And looking forward to see some new, beautiful faces in the club! Wedding sea-
son also means business time for some of us - hotels, jewellery, clothes, furnishing etc. We wish all of you a prosperous, money- mint-ing season too!
Meanwhile, lets surf one chan-nel less on the TV while eating,
lets refrain from checking notifications on our phones and tablets for a few min-utes, lets also keep down the newspaper and instead talk
to each other while having meals at home. In fact, even at restau-rants. Lets not forget the art of talking and catching up with our own folks. Lets not behave like strangers in our own homes.
Looking forward to more re-sponse and contribution from our members for the magazine.
Till then,Take care.

The event was organized at Leo Niket Mangals site London Villas, we thank him for excellent arrangements. The main event had 3.5 hrs to make Ravan and team of Leo Parth Nyati enjoyed the first mover advantage as they reached the venue on time. The main event was extremely fun filled and engrossing as all teams worked hard to get there Ravan up and standing.
Judge for the event Leo Harsh Ruthia and Leo Niket Mangal judged the teams on various parameters such as Structural Rigidity, % of Recycled and reused material, relevance to theme and team work. The best name award went to Leo Nikhil Chandanis Sena, the Ravan was named Je-Ravan. The best concept award went to Leo Ayush Jains Sena they depicted Ravan as Social Media and
suggested how it is hampering our society today. Leo Deepak Patels Sena were the closest to theme and got award for using the maximum recycled/reused products, the whole Ravan was made from used cardboard boxes.
However the best Ravan award was won by Leo Parth Nyatis Sena. They came on time, got the best structure made which did not fall even after complete burning of Ravan and also used recycled material extremely innovatively. All this was possible with superb team effort from Leo Sachin Nagdev, Leo Sumit Garg, Leo Koshal Kataria, Leo Shanu Kataria, Leo Luv Doshi and Leo Malika Doshi.
The event ended with Ram (read team captain of each Sena) burning their ravan using bow and arrow and providing excellent fireworks for the onlookers.
In the middle of this festive season, it was time for a social event winter on wheels. This was an event where collection of old winter clothes for Kashmir flood victims
took place.
It was an event initiated by Mr Akram Feroze, who drove down a truck from
Hyderabad to Kashmir, passing through various cities and collecting old winter
clothes.

Aashirvachan
You are impatient, arrogant, stupid foolish, etc. We are
seriously joking.
You love to project yourself as
confident and smart. Its ok
to be bluffing some times.
Even if someone swears at you or says unkind things about you, start laughing
hysterically. Keep the opposite person puzzled.
You will be kissed by your secret crush this month.
Dont take this prediction too seriously.
Your friends may party this
month and not invite you.
Avoid eating fast food this month. You may end up with
an upset stomach.
Smile all day long. Make
people wonder what you
are up to.
Dont pick your nose in front of your girlfriend/boyfriend. You will surely get dumped.
Take bath with a nice
smelling washing powder.
Your soul needs some deep
cleansing.
Every place in the world is at a walkable distance. Just try
to find time.
This month may be a bad
month for you. Take a chill
pill and spend most of your
time in bed.
If you get dreams of lizards, it means that you have a secret
enemy. Beware.

MYTH Ive smoked for so long; the damage is already done. The damage caused by smoking is cumulative, & the longer a person smokes, the greater his/her risk for life-threatening ailments. But quitting smoking at any age brings health benefits. Your health will improve even if you quit at 70, says Norman H. Edelman, MD, chief medical officer of American Lung Association. The benefits of quitting start the day you stop. Within a year, your risk of having a heart attack will be cut by 50%.
MYTH Switching to light cigarettes will cut my risk.
Smokers who switch to light-mild cigarettes inevitably compensate for lower levels of tar, nicotine by inhaling smoke more deeply/by smoking more cigarettes. Most people who smoke them get same amount of the killing components in tobacco smoke, Similarly, ones labeled natural/organic are no safer than ordinary cigarettes. You need not add anything to tobacco for it to kill you,

MYTH Smoking only a few cigarettes a day is okay.
Smoking is never safe. Every cigarette contains 1-2 mg of nicotine & it reaches your brain in 8-10 seconds. There are many damaging chemicals taken in with
each inhale of a cigarette. The smoke contains 4,000 chemicals and poisons, 50 of which
cause cancer. Each time you inhale you take in nicotine, tar, CO, cyanide, arsenic, formaldehyde,
ammonia & benzene, just to name a few.
MYTH I tried quitting once & failed, so no use trying again.
Most smokers try several times before quitting for good. So if youve failed previously, dont
let that deter you from trying again. Each time people quit, they learn things that could be useful for their next attempt at quitting, Malarcher says. Edelman says, We
like to say the first time you try to quit is practice, the second time is practice, and the third or fourth time, you
get it right. You have to keep trying.

would like to share with you an incident which took us through the immeasurable powers of this fine organization. Being the proud member of Leo movement, we always believed in the motto & unity of Lions Clubs International.
One of our dedicated member from the Leo Multiple 323 Leo Hasmukh Thathagar (Home Club: Leo Club of Mira Bhayander) met with a fatal accident with severe injuries and paralyzing his body below neck. The Hospital suggested an urgent operation with a cost of Rs. 3,50,000/- . Coming from the modest financial conditions it was difficult for the family of Leo Hasmukh to bear this amount. It was all the more difficult for the family to gather this amount overnight for the urgent operation. When it came to the notice of Leo and Lions family, they immediately acted to help the family. We always worked for the betterment of society but when the situation came upon us we could experience the strength of unity and power of this organization. Leos and Lions family came together to contribute in this moment crisis and within a day, we were in position to provide the operation amount. The operation was successful and we were emotionally overjoyed to see success we achieved and truly realizing the greatest words spoken by Sir Nelson Mandela that we are all bound together in ways that are invisible to the eye; that there is a oneness to humanity; that we achieve ourselves by sharing ourselves with others, and caring for those around us. Hasmukhs family who were not strong supporter of him spending time in Leo, said that they are proud of Hasmukh being a Leo and recognized the support of this Organization in this moment of despair.
Unfortunately our happiness did not last long; succumbing to severe injuries we lost our dear friend and a great Leo. Leo by heart, he donated his eyes and served for the last time. Leo Hasmukh was a part of Multiple micro cabinet and our dear friend. We are thankful to this organization and all the Leos and Lions who showed their selfless support and set the great example of unity.
iThese words have everything which a person needs not
only to achieve the pinnacle of his dreams, but which will help him and guide him to overthrow the obstacles which
life throws in front of him on that beautiful but tough path ahead to reach that mountain.
Very early in my life, I understood the value of this quote. All of you start some pet project or dream in your life which
requires every second of your day, every drop of your sweat. Could you have achieved it without using your time judiciously? No. It requires the perfect management of giv-ing your time to your wife, children, relatives and business.
Lethargy, monotony, procrastination, saturation are some of the few evils which everyone encounters. The key is to wake up in the morning and feel that day as a gift which
once opened and used cant be reopened again.
