with you in a whole new way. Our new program, Cruise Global, Eat LocalSM, provides carefully

curated recommendations to authentic local restaurants around the globe.

We’re not talking famous Michelin-star restaurants that are packed with tourists who just read a

review in The New York Times. Cruise Global, Eat LocalSM is focused on recommending eateries

that locals frequent and love, which refl ect the culture and ambiance of your destinations.

GREETINGS FROM YOUR LCV AMBASSADORAs the holidays get closer, I always take time

to refl ect on what I am thankful for. This year,

becoming part of the Azamara Family is certainly

high on my list. The past six months have been

exhilarating! I have learned so much from my

colleagues, our leader, and many of YOU! I’ve

really enjoyed getting to know you, hearing

about your Azamara and life experiences, and

working to make Le Club Voyage a premier

loyalty program. So I’d like to say “thank you”

to all who have had a hand in the process in

one way or another.

This past month has been a busy one, but busy

means that exciting things are happening in the

world of Le Club Voyage. Some of those things

When Ellen began her career, she stumbled into the travel industry almost by accident. Years later, she still gets to enjoy the joys of travel every day, only now it's onboard Team Azamara as our new VP of Sales & Marketing.

Can you tell us a little bit about your background? I was born and raised in Spokane, WA. I attended Washington State University. When I was 22 years old I moved to New York where I met my husband, Jack. I am so fortunate to have three daughters: Abigail is 13, Grace is 20, and my stepdaughter, Aubrey, is 33.

Why did you get into the travel category?I got into the travel industry by accident. I started working at a small travel agency so that I could get access to airline tickets to fl y home to Spokane. After a few years, I joined American Express as an entry level travel agent.

Why were you interested in coming to Azamara Club Cruises? Azamara is a hidden gem with amazing potential! The company, under the leadership of Larry Pimentel, has created a unique space within the cruise industry with Destination Immersion®. Our guests value the experiences we bring them with longer stays, more overnights, and night touring. It's a new way to experience a destination.

What do you love about cruising? You unpack once, and every day or night is a new adventure.

After your recent voyage, if you could describe Azamara in one word, what would that word be? Really just one word? Memories.

What is Azamara's biggest asset? Our biggest asset is our onboard family.

Our onboard team makes it happen every

moment of every day, and I have the highest

regard for each and every one of them.

What's the best job you've had? The worst?I love the travel industry, and every role

I've had has challenged and inspired me.

The "worst" has to be my fi rst job when

I was 16 years old at The Old Spaghetti

Factory as a bus girl. It was very messy

and hard work, but it helped build character

and my biceps!

When you were a child, what was your dream job?To be an anchor woman.

What's your favorite childhood memory? My fi rst big trip to Disney World. I was 12, and

it was also the fi rst time I went on a plane.

Who/what is your biggest infl uence? I am lucky to have a wonderful mother.

She was a working mother of fi ve and

always told me, “with hard work you

could have it all!” She was right. I have a

wonderful family and an incredible career

that I love.
