Access : From Besse, leave the D203 before Lac Chauvet and take the D978 road towards Egliseneuve d'Entraigues. Before the village, turn left towards Lac d'Entraigues. Park at the lake. Length of itinerary : 10 minutes.

Description of the site : Open landscape, Lake Entraigues is appreciated for its calm and its environment. Some trees line the lake; are essentially beech and birch. Lake Entraigues is bordered to the North by a road that continues with a mowing meadow, in the East by a path leading to the Cascade du Bois de Chaux, in the South by the forest of Bois de Chaux located below and to the west by a row of trees that delimit the space reserved for cottage camping. The eastern part of the lake is different from the other banks by its marshy appearance with the presence of typical lakes such as rushes.

The lake receives the sun all day long in summer, its area is about 8000 m2.

Technical features of place: A hiking path goes around the lake. It is wide enough for the passage of a vehicle to a few places. Parking is close, the work can be done in the best conditions.

Best point : The landscape is open on the Massif du Sancy. The lake is the most popular summer site in Egliseneuve d'Entraigues thanks to the nearby campsite and tennis court. Note: In the case of a work placed in the heart of the lake, the artist must ensure that the work does not harm the fauna and flora lacustrine.
