+What is the right kind of success

Team Success: Clear and specific goal that bonds the team to ensure everyone feels ownership

towards it.

Page 13: LEAD | I & Others - Leading Collaborative Teams

+If the team has a common definition of success, members have

• A strong shared vision • Clear measurable goals

in the team • Power to make better

decisions

Page 14: LEAD | I & Others - Leading Collaborative Teams

+If the team do not have a common definition of success, member will

• feel irrelevant • might compete

against each other• always in resistance

Page 15: LEAD | I & Others - Leading Collaborative Teams

+Review your recent team experiences, did you think you and your team had a common understanding of success?

If yes/no, What contributed to it? What made it work/not work?

Page 16: LEAD | I & Others - Leading Collaborative Teams

+

The role of the leader is to then be able to facilitate the team to create this common

definition of success and to fully engage the team members towards it

Page 17: LEAD | I & Others - Leading Collaborative Teams

+

The role of the team member is to then know their unique contribution towards the team success in order

to feel the ownership towards the bigger purpose.

Page 18: LEAD | I & Others - Leading Collaborative Teams

required to achieve it
