LEADERS IN 2015(VERBATIM COMMENTS FROM STUDENT SURVEY)
They were super nice and are probably not getting paid enough, if at all. They initiated all the fun things we
did. It wouldn't have been nearly as fun without them.
I absolutely loved my frosh leaders. They made me really excited about frosh, I wouldn't have had as much
fun if I didn't have them to keep me going. They were extremely friendly and welcoming, nice to everyone in our
group, and were relatable. I know that I can call them my friends and that they would help me out if I had a
problem even now that frosh is over. They were so FUN and I'm really glad they were my leaders!
Great group of people that inspired me to become one next year.
My frosh leaders were extremely kind and knew how to make us feel welcomed. You could see how happy
they were to be there and how much they wanted to make this experience as memorable as possible for each
person. They were responsible, informative, and knew how to keep us entertained.
Funnest and kindest leaders ever! They made me feel welcomed and safe in their care and I truly felt a part of
the faculty when with them! Excellent job!
What will your students say about you?
YOU ARE OUR BIGGEST
STRENGTH.

• Applications are due March 20
• Applications are divided by Frosh
o Arts & Science is not “Arts or Science”. McGill has an Arts & Science program! #nowyouknow
o Nursing students!
o If applying to be Leader, use Nursing application. If applying to be O-Staff, go directly to Science application.
• Need to log in with McGill username and password before completing form; form will automatically
pull your email, ID, Faculty info - that you cannot edit.
(Faculty shown not correct? Email [email protected])
• Recommend applying with computer, not mobile.
• Have a photo of yourself ready! (NOTE: Photos are only used for identification purposes AFTER your interview to help
“put a name to a face” among the hundreds of applicants Coordinator selection committees will meet. Photos are not seen or
considered during the application or selection process.)
• When you have successfully submitted your application, you will get a confirmation message and
TWO confirmation emails; if you don’t, you did something wrong and your application was not
submitted
FAQMore FAQs are available on the application site
What if I am not in town for the interview?Apply. If/when you are contacted for an interview, discuss your situation. Usually, the interviewers will accommodate you and interview you via Skype, etc.
Can I apply for both Leader & O-Staff?No. If you are having trouble deciding, apply to be a Leader. During your Leader application, it will ask you to indicate if you would additionally like to be considered to be an O-Staff. If you are applying to become an O-Staff, you will not have the opportunity to also apply to be a Leader.
Can I apply to multiple Froshes? No. You cannot apply to multiple Faculty Froshes. You may apply to a Faculty Frosh and a NON-FACULTY Frosh. Some Froshes may be able to accommodate you participating in both. Others may require you to commit to one Frosh.
Am I automatically selected if I am a returning Leader? No.
Can I apply to be a Leader for a Frosh outside my Faculty? For the most part, no. Most Faculties don't accept external applicants and your application will be outright rejected, and some put external applicants on a lower preference. We do try to encourage applicants to apply to their own Faculty, since it's better for the new students to have Leaders who are in the Faculty they are entering.
