The IN conceptual model is a four-layer abstract model, where each layer (or plane) represents the capabilities of an IN network. The four planes of the model are: The service plane offers a users perspective to a services functionality and capability. Global Functional Plane incorporates service independent building blocks (SIBs) 17. The Distributed Functional Plane contains functional entities, which are a specific group of functions required to implement the IN concept Finally the Physical plane is the entity where the functional entities are implemented. 18. ASSOCIATED TECHNOLOGIES Intelligent Network (IN) is adopted in the mobile network to provide the users with diversified supplementary services, enhance the mobility management (MM) and shorten the time-to-market of new services Mobile networks have adopted IN technology To provide the users with new services that can only be obtained in the fixed network before and enhance the mobility management. 19.
